Luffy won't fight against Shanks, that's very very very unlikely.

Manage to render him his hat back? That's at least less less improbable.

But I agree on one notion/aspect, Luffy will definitely strenghten his CoC haki, or else how will he even remove Teach from the equation.

Luffy said himself that he will fight shanks. Being friends doesnt stop the fight, wb and Roger where friends, same with shiki and garp. Their battle will be șo luffy can proof that he surpassed him

You mean sparring? Because that would be different than a bloody fight. A bloody fight is more something that was being processed between Luffy and Zoro or Luffy and Usopp.

kinda like UFC fight, can totaly own your enemy without killin him

but it would be based more on haki, coa clash, coo, but the king haki clash would be their main thing. like how bm and kaidou split the sky in half.
