General & Others A Hugely Missed Opportunity

For being the phenomenal and unmatched storyteller that he is, it seems as though Oda doesn’t take his characters or plots as far as they can go.

For instance, why wasn’t one of Sugar’s Hobi Hobi victims a member of the Beasts Pirates? In particular a Calamity or a member of the Tobi Roppo, heck maybe even Yamato.

Imagine if the whole world forgot about a destructive and terrifying figure from days past simply because Doflamingo ordered Sugar to transform them into a toy following a dispute over the SMILE trade.

Years go by and the Beasts Pirates officer/commander fades into obscurity, with the only inclination of their existence being bounty posters of a long forgotten figure.

Only for Usopp’s victory over Sugar and the success of Operation SOP to lead to the return of the once infamous Beasts Pirates commander. The whole world suddenly starts to remember a great terror that disappeared from history.

As Luffy’s victory over Doflamingo is celebrated across Dressrosa, the newly liberated commander contacts Onigashima and informs them of Doflamingo’s defeat and announces their return.

Going further: Imagine this is Yamato who was turned into a toy by Sugar, Kaido attempts suicide by jumping from a Sky Island only to land at Kidd’s Hideout. Just as he’s done falling, he remembers that he has a son!!

Now the logistics of this are wonky with the current direction of the storyline but my point still stands nonetheless.

What do you guys think? Should Sugar have transformed one of the BP’s into a toy? Thoughts?

Actually i didn't like the idea of sugar fruit tbh. It's just too much of a hax. Like you play some PlayStation games and put so many gamesharks on it. That's one of the reason why i put Croc above Doffy for the best villain.

Anyway Doffy wouldn't dare to do that to any Bp pirates i guess. We know he shits on his pants just by imagining Kaido will come to him. And if somehow Sugar fainted and Kaido found out that Doffy dare to mess with him. Well that would be the end of him.

Doflamingo could have never imagined that Sugar would have been defeated/knocked unconscious.

It would actually be the ideal scenario to turn Kaido’s henchmen into toys because there’s an extremely low chance that Kaido would ever find out.

There’s also the fact that Doflamingo turned Marines into toys, knowing that the Navy would surely retaliate also if they ever found out. Heck, the WG would surely punish Doflamingo if his underworld scheme in Dressrosa was exposed to the world, hypocritical or not.

I guess the marines he turned into toy weren't important figure. It's actually not very wise move from his part to put so much trust in Sugar's ability. He should have think about the worst case scenario, maybe that's why he didn't turned anyone important into toys.
