According to the latest chapter Kaido said Luffy was in its limits, weve seen luffy’s body in a worst state than he did during the whole cake island arc but he still pushed himself to another 5th gear.

I think how gear fifth works is luffy pumping his heart beat so fast that the risk is death but of course that wont happen because of chopper and probably marco too and law 3 of the best doctors in the whole onepiece

So there’s a chance after the fight luffy would be in a coma state, this is the time when the 2 years time skip will come where we will ser the adult forms of the strawhat in their adult state. Stronger than ever ready to face anyone…

What do you guys think? Is there another time skip?

Doflamingo and Kaido, very experienced and intelligent users, both made remarks about Luffys style being unsustainable. Would be good if we saw the actual consequences, why not in the form of a time skip.

We already saw a failed use of time skip... Oda added time skip to make SHs strong....but that was useless...look at what Luffy gained after the time skip in such a short time.
Luffy would be in a coma state,
He is a cartoon such thing won't happen....and as you mentioned...we have Law and all... It seems such a waste of plot with having broken doctors and not treating issues with MC.
Also, Time skip is not just for the SHs but everyone including BB and WG...with the current state of shichibukai, Revos, and even Luffy awakening...I doubt oda can handle plot holes related to 2-year gap...things would have to change drastically...and too much effort is to be added into showing the difference between before and after timeskip.

Nah not really needed. I think we’ll get a short training arc after the straw hats lose to Blackbeard but not with that long of a timeskip.

thats not actualy prolonging the series its like saying we almost there at the end. Plus if he did this then it means there would be a part 2 of onepiece where their kids continue their adventure if in dbz theres frieza, androids cell, in boruto there’s otsutuuki well on onepiece maybe its the same reference remember in the world of onepiece in ohara there’s many planets nearby.

i dont know it feels like if we dont see luffy’s adult form in the end of onepiece it would be suq because maturity in manga makes a huuuuge difference specially on the main character once the protagonist mature or in their adult state it means theyre really in their prime
