I've been an on-and-off member for quite a few years, but around eight months ago I went mostly inactive as part of a conscientious effort to work on myself.
During that time I realised that I was quite a reactionary person. I would take comments too personally, and I would get into arguments with others in the politics thread. I realised this was intentional, but not something I was conscious of. For a while, I was enjoying the conflict. I feel ashamed of that behaviour now.
Though, the one I most want to apologise to is no longer here (@Logiko), I'd like to say sorry for how I used to be.
I am not expecting those who I previously argued with to forgive me, though I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to show those people in particular that I have become a lot less confrontational and inflammatory. It is my hope to get along with everyone more, and to put the past behind me. My politics may not have changed too much, but the way I interact with others has.
So, though I never said I was going away, I am back to being semi-active.
