These memes about Kaidou don’t make any sense — once again, they only make sense if there’s ambiguity and if they’re interpreted the wrong way.
If Kaidou only had a Devil Fruit, fine — but the guy also has insane Haki on top of that.
The fact that he has a Devil Fruit doesn’t cancel out his ability to train and have strong Haki — which, according to him, surpasses everything.
The fact that Kaidou possibly hasn’t awakened his Devil Fruit should already mean he’s not a DF merchant, since he hasn’t fully exploited it like those who awaken do. Kaidou is just insane — he has a Devil Fruit that’s already considered one of the strongest in existence, and he simply adopted the mindset that Haki surpasses everything, training and maxing out his Haki. The guy basically beat the game twice.

Which is dumb, because that´s not how the world works. A top 1 Hakiman like Soyboy could not conquer the world either. Associating Haki with conquering the world makes no sense, since the people who run the world are more associated with *abilities* anyway(and yes, obviously Imcel has Haki, but that isn´t his main thing)
We are talking power level. Strength is not only way to conquer. You can argue oden was stronger than Kaido at age 39 but he lost nonetheless.

Kaido's statement was in context of raw power. When it comes to imu and joyboy , we do not know how it exactly went but we know imu was shook from joyboy's haki.
All the strong characters like Roger , Garp , Rocks , Ray , Shanks etc are pure haki users.

For Kaido conquering can be done through brute strength. That is his character.
