therefore power =( force* displacement)/time

and given how force = mass * acceleration,
Power = ( (mass * acceleration) * displacement)/ time

so I guess power is dependent on acceleration after all.

Yes. But Kizaru is not light. He is a logia. He can become light. And when he does he goes for 0 velocity to light constant velocity which gives him an incredible acceleration.
