General & Others Ace is really so selfish

This is about as wrong as it gets... he got pissed off because he cared about them.

True ! He cared so much that he wasted all their efforts and the people sacrificed to rescue him in a second cause .... Bad Akainu said whitebeard is a coward .

Even Luffy and I am saying Luffy who makes bad decisions knew to tell his crew to run when they were against Kuma and Kizaru. Luffy knew what needed to be done

None of this would have happened to begin with if he listened to Whitebeard's advice and ignored Teach. Even Shanks was of this opinion. Dude is so stubborn that he thinks he knows better than the 2 yonkos. Whitebeard would still be alive

The funny thing is that it was true that WB was a coward who ambushed from behind

Didnt Slowkazuki attack WB in the middle of a heart attack

And didnt Kizaru attack Marco from behind

And didnt Luzan take advantage of an off guard Marco

Ace is brash and hot-headed, that's just who he is. His character arc wasn't about becoming more cautious but about accepting that people do love him and that that gives his life meaning. That he isn't some mistake. Ace's death is supposed to be a tragic one that could've been avoided and while, he can come off as selfish and reckless, he's a very prideful person and him going after Blackbeard is expected when the dude came from his division. At Marineford he died fighting for Whitebeard's honour (even though Whitebeard wouldn't have wanted that) and it's meant to be a preventable death. It's supposed to come off as unnecessary because it is. It's pretty much completely due to his impulsiveness. I won't try and defend it as anything other than irresponsible but it's in character and I like Ace despite being so impetuous.
