General & Others Ace Rant.

We all know that Ace was introduced in the story way to early, before some of the fundamental aspects of the powers system were even fully developed, and the Ace we saw in Alabasta was not even close to the Ace we would see in Marineford, the Novels, and though others.
But the Ace wanking by Oda needs to stop. Ace has become the one of worst kinds of characters. (The was so great that we never saw his true strength).
If Oda wanted to show us how great he was then he shouldn't been killed so early in the series.
One Piece power scaling while not prefect has been on the better side of things, with most fights at least making sense about who wins, why, and how characters stack up to one another. But with Ace it just highlights a lack of forethought about future arcs.
The guy who said "Fire vs Smoke is too even" is the same guy who apparently fought Jimbie for five days, sailed the New World, and fought the Daughter of Kaido.

He's an important character, the cause for the 2 year time skip and his death alongside WB's is what's causing the current unstable political environment. Realistically, we got like... 3 mentions of Ace from chapter 600~ to 984. Ace's fruit in Dressa, O'Tama and now Yamato. It's not like Oda is dragging Ace's corpse around.

If Oda doesn't kill off Ace then he would have become Pirate King before Luffy lol :laughmoji:

This idea of trying to reinvent Ace by Oda is very annoying. It is like that he is giving into peer pressure here.

Ace was designed to die and act as an impetus for Luffy's growth. That much is clear from the fact that Ace didn't get any development till very near his demise and frankly much of his development came after his death.

Now...Oda is like...Ace is the hero we deserved but not the one we needed.

I do disagree, the death of Whitebeard and the Rise of Blackbeard is the cause of the unstably. Plus the Novels. But it's more to do with the fact that the Ace we saw in the series is becoming completely different from the Ace now.

Well Oda didn't wanted to let Ace die in the first place- he changed it later and he got killed to give luffy a development later.

I adore Ace a lot but the desperate tries of Oda to redeem his own regret by killing him is a bit too much in my opinion.

We knew from ace himself that he went to wano before. He learned there to make those straw hats he did for Oars Jr. ... but connections like otama and yamato coming up now... well.

The forethought is a bit terrible in that case.

Exactly, Sabo is just a character played along by an Oda screw up:specialmeh::ronalaugh: yet they put him on Yonko and Admiral level end Wano. Scrubs:kizabat:

Sabo is an awesome example for the messed up foresight. I mean - ace was in newspapers everywhere and I guess sabo too due to his position at the revolutionary army.

But ace never saw it and sabo just remembered as ace was dead..? It would have been better to let sabo dead too..

my theory is.he thought of sabo mid wat through marineford but he didn’t know how make it make sense so he just left it
I think the Ace being Gol D Rogers surprise son played a part of it too, I can’t piece it but through and through you’ll see that Sabo gets a lot of hate from the fandom because some people see him like us an Ace replace and that is part of plot armour, but it also takes off value of face what Oda did. He could of just got Ace saved and some other situation arise for the new pirate era to begin. But Odas a master of plot psychology and theory so he can have room for these major mistakes. :kizabat::sabogood:

Fire and smoke is even though. All they did was clash with their Devil Fruit powers. It's not like Ace was actually trying, as his agenda was not to pick a fight with the Marines, but to go after Blackbeard. Smoker's DF stopping Ace's DF is no different than Mr. 3 stopping Magellan's poison with his DF. Hell, Mr. 3's DF even held up against a punch from Sengoku. Monet's DF stopped attacks from Luffy. Don't mistake the power of a Devil Fruit, with the strength of the owner.

thats politically incorrecrt, it was easy for Oda to inherit the tattoo later on as headcanon filler pretty much. That’s like saying the S could be played for Sabo too into the tattoo. Odas a genius like this:nicagesmile:

Wait until Elbaf or Raftel..
Ace will be mentioned that he reached there lol

Ace death didn't even make Luffy grow as a character, he seemed like he grew at sabaody then he reverted back to the same careless /carefree goofing around luffy despite the high risk.
