there's is two directions the onigashima plot will go. either the threat is gonna be will we win before onigashima crush the flower capital? or will onigashima get there quickly and kaido commands his forces to subdue wano?
the second choice would be where I hope the story is going because the potential is great.
think about the amount of forces arayed at either side :
30.000 kaido henchmen
5.000 ninja
5.000 police samurai
10? Antiant giants
but do you honestly feel the weight of such numbers? Onigashima is an amazing location and I am glad oda is using the chaos to show every facet of it. but the dommed aesthetic is really constraining oda's ability to show the massive conflict occuring.
now imagine kaido moving the island in like one or two chapters, suddenly the script is flipped. suddenly instead of starting fires in enemy teratory they are running around putting fires out.
they thought they beerded the lion (Dragon) in his den (Lair) but now kaido flipped it on them and now they are on the defensive. this could be the Tragedy of ACT 3 every one is waiting for.
imagine it, fighting in the desert of udon. fighting in the forest of kuri.
in hakumai, Ringo....etc.
oda spent 50 chapters building Wano, returning there to see all fights happening is great. there every one can stretch and you could feel the weight of numbers, the size of the "NUMBER'S".
this is also where the Akazaya nine can shine after their defeat. leading the resistance fighting.
now that's WAR that could make Marinford look small.
p.s. I don't think making Marinford look small was ever oda's intention with wano. I think he just was ex cited to do his version of a old japan arc. and every one enterprited that as hyping for fights, character development for the strawhats, massive world changing clash of forces......etc.
I never liked how for years the fandom would make up their own promises about wano that oda never made, and got salty when oda didn't make wano the "let's wank the strawhats arc".
sorry for the spelling, punctuation & grammar mistakes.
