Questions & Mysteries Admiral Fans what did Oda mean by this?

Oh the irony! Moewu the irony even! Usopp would be disappointed in your lack of observation haki! Even though Oda has forgotten his for years too as well ironically lmao.

Nah but seriously, this is why 2nd opinions help a lot, a fresh perspective can change everything. Its why I like messing with perspective on a more literal level sometimes, as in shapes and landscapes and such. "Opening the 3rd eye" so to speak lol. The simplest answers are usually the most reliable/accurate/obvious, I cant' tell you the amount of times I've been oblivious to the sheer obvious and such too. You could hide an elephant in a room from me lmao.

Exactly man, both Hawkins and Shyarly have been quite sus in that regard. Hawkins "predicting the future" so far ahead of time supposedly and what Shyarly did make me think of Future Sight even before Katakuri revealed it but I expected it to be WAY longer than a few seconds and thus actual visions. Seeing a few seconds of it in realtime would be one application and the deep future projections would be another and I'd extend to be able to see into the past, I really wanted to see Pudding's memory fruit used in this way too, its awakening would go SO HARD potentially.

I thought Mihawk, Shanks, Imu at least would portray this extreme insight into the future type ability. Toki did the same I think with her DF, it would explain her actions and confidence. I can't believe how much Oda dropped the ball with her character and the DF itself, but thats a whole other topic ofc.

Extreme range would be another applicate of CoO too as we've seen in Skypeia and also implied by Mihawk too, when I think he heard about what was going on with the Reverie or something?

I would also extend it to being able to "hear things that make no noise", to "hear silence itself", thus the most truly perfect masters of CoO could potentially counter Corazons silencing DF to some degree at least?

I also had an idea for Mihawk where he would "implant" FS into you and show you what he was going to do you to either intimidate you and thus show you your own potential death or grievous injury at least, immediately from his hands or to "warn" you discreetly like I believe he did to Luffy (although Luffy ould have just subconsciously used FS back then I guess ofc, he was dodging Enels rapid trident attacks or w/e his weapon was, with his "baka mode" and doing like a "dumb version" of ultra instinct, way over a decade before DBS even did it lmao).

God, I'm so desperate to learn more about VOAT, even if its for the worse though somehow. I hope we finally get some more on it soon. I hoped to learn more about it during Egghead, I HOPED lmao. Sigh.

Nooo I let Usopp down for a moment, I blame Oda for this. (Jk)

:hurry:

But, you brought up some good points. I guess the main idea why I believed this to be the Voice of all things in the first place was because of the Zoro Vs. Mr 1 fight during Alabasta.

As of right now, we have only seen characters with VoAT communicate with other living things. But there seems to be some alterations to that.

During Sabaody, we were told by Rayleigh that Roger was able to decipher the ponyglyph on Skypea and even write those letters because of the voice of all things, which would mean you are indeed able to communicate with inanimate objects, non-living things? Which sounds weird at first, but this is where The Zoro Vs Mr 1 fight comes in handy.

During their fight, Zoro, once more, reaching the brink of death, brings up the rhythm of things, the breath that he hears from all the surrounding things. And not just living things, even from solid rock.

Now, I don't claim that this is somehow connected to the voice of all the things that we know of today, but it would give an explanation of how Roger was able to read the ponyglyphs and even write the language by hearing the "rhytm / breath" of it?

So, similar to all of this, I thought the scene with Akaninu was that he could hear the "breath" of the mobydick approaching, or even the breath of the sea that got disturbed by the Whitebeard Pirates arrival. Which in hindsight sounds a bit silly. If I am honest, it probably wasn't Oda's intention. But, you can never be too sure.

Yeah, Koby would be cool candidate to unlock it.

:catsure:

I guess Hawkins and Shyarly could also be classified as "freaks of nature" with their abilities. When we all thought Katakuris / Shanks future sight was insane, their Powers make them seem like childs play really. On the contrary, we don't know if Shyarlys prophecies can be overwritten or altered. But given her accuracy about when the mermaid princess would be born etc., I feel the worst what's coming to fishmen island someday.

:josad:

I also like your idea about Mihawk, which would be very creative of Oda.

Ever since we learnt that Shanks developed a specific Haki type thanks to Film Red, I have often wondered if Mihawk learnt something of his own to counter his "killing of observation haki" technique. Given they were both rivals at some point.

So even if Shanks would block his Future Sight, unable to use it to foretell his next movements in advance, he could still make the enemy see, kinda a reverse psychology situation here, thinking you have the upper hand, but then getting intimidated by manipulating your enemies' thoughts, imposing future sight or images in their heads or something like that.

This would make more sense instead of the idea that Luffy had a future sight so early on. When it only became a thing way later in the series. Sure, it could have been an early sign of Luffy's FS here, but I don't think Mihawk really intended to kill Luffy, "intentionally saving him" by showing him what would have happened to his arms by stretching them out to him...man, this leaves room for so much speculation now

Agreeing with you, I want to know everything about VOAT right now. Pls Oda.

"He started the debacle. Starting a war and tweaking out about how hard you could lose is just silly." He's not tweaking about how hard he could lose, it's literally just the current situation, I don't know why I have to interpret what's going on, on panel for you, you should have enough reading comprehension.

The reason you think it's silly, is because you don't understand narrative, or you simply don't care to understand the narrative from certain characters perspective because you have a silly agenda to maintain.

Also you wanted him to just let the son of Roger go? and continue to be a pirate and get stronger and stronger to the point where he is a major threat to the WG and Marines? If anything that would be silly.

Ace's Bounty didn't factor in him being Rogers son, if anything taking out the son of Roger is worth war in this case, Roger was the greatest criminal besides Dragon, and Xebec actually.
re read the war, it's not just the scene, Sengoku is constantly freaking out and sweating at every little thing, while the admirals are portrayed much more stoic

Letting Ace go might have been bad, but you know what's worse? Indirectly leading to the rise of Blackbeard

I already explained to you why the admirals can be more "stoic", sweat marks during a war aren't the end all be all, it's funny that you're telling me this as if it's supposed to somehow belittle sengoku

" Indirectly leading to the rise of Blackbeard " bruh as if sengoku was supposed to predict that happening

It's funny because Shanks warned WB but WB simply didn't listen, but even shanks wasn't expecting BB to pull up at MF like that otherwise he would have told Sengoku to stay on watch. It's crazy because despite those 3 "stoic" admirals BB still managed to do what he did and take WB's power.

Look at what you're doing, you're proving my point by putting the blame on sengoku for that happening, that's my entire point, when you're the one in charge anything that happens falls on you, yet you blame sengoku for sweating about everything, this dude is just as old as garp he was readying to retire and have Aokiji replace him at that point.

They all noticed, that's what these reaction indicators are for...

And Akainu is literally hearing the ships rising from the water, Roger and Oden "heard" Sea Kings talking telepathically and understood it, how you think that is at all similar is beyond me.
