Character Discussion Advance CoC came before DF Awakening for Luffy?

I thought Luffy would first awaken his DF ability and he could turn the environment into Rubber, and he could send Rubber punches and kicks from different angles, he probably wouldn't even need G4 after awakening his DF ability.

Is this mean DF Awakening would be more powerful for Luffy's fighting style? Or it's just that Luffy has more talent in CoC instead of DF awakening?

just why are many calling it advanced CoC haki? it is just an application of CoC haki, that can be used by strong individuals. till otherwise is confirmed.

Mastering haki is more easier than mastering your devil fruit imo.

Luffy has spent over two years training his haki. Throughout the timeskip and new world Luffy has prioritized his haki abilities over his devil fruit so it makes sense he reaches the next level with those first

either way i think his DF awakening is just a matter of time, especially if the DF has to be conquered to awaken. Luffy didn't use his DF ability in this chapter at all though.

Awakening will be very useful just for Luffy to fire very big attack without his gears.

I don't think Luffy's using advanced CoC. It's just another application of CoC that few people know how to use. I think advanced CoC is being saved for the Shanks arc and might be weather manipulation.

I was thinking that Luffy would learn advanced CoO in Linlin's arc, advanced CoA in Kaido's, advanced CoC in Shanks and then master all three in Blackbeard's arc.

Awakening may be something he learns while fighting Imu/Sakazuki or another final war opponent. Wouldn't make much sense to use your awakening against someone who can nullify Devil Fruits.

In Japan, rubber is used to protect buildings from earth quakes.

I have always maintained, to this day, that Luffy’s awakening will be a specific hard counter to the Gura Gura no Mi. He’s gonna get awakening when he fights Blackbeard.
