Let me introduce you to this bozo
His name is Monkey D. Dragon, the father of the main character. This bozo was introduced back in 1999, he hasn't had any fights or combat hype since then. He will likely have only one major battle in the manga, and it will be against Imu. He will lose ofcourse, Dragon will serve as a hypetool for the Goofy vs Imu fight.
Makes a lot of sense doesn't it, truly a wonderful piece of art

Hmm, but he doesn't have to fight Imu, he can have a deathmatch with Gorbachev instead

This chad has clear superior portrayal that puts him above the other elders, who will eventually end up fighting Ivankov or Jinbe.
Damn how couldn't I think of that, this truly exceeded my power of imagination

But I'm not dumb enough to exclude the main character from this fight am I. Maybe the Monkey legend himself will join too.
Ofcourse all this is assuming Imu is not a fraud who only gives the launch order but let's not go there

What about Akainu tho, surely Sabo is the one to take him down :yasu:
Now now let's be civil. First off it's a stretch to assume Sabo can defeat an admiral, let alone the strongest one who happens to have a devil fruit advantage over him :salt:

People like to jump to the awakening argument, Sabo awakens blue flames that are hotter than magma. There are 2 major problems here:
1. It was never about which is hotter, that was a major mistranslation that has been corrected multiple times. This is what the dialogue looked like:
"Akainu: Are you allowing your Logia nature to make you a little too overconfident? / You are mere "fire"... whilst I am "magma", with the power to consume even fire itself!! // My ability is a natural enemy of your own, boy!!!"
As you can see magma, as molten rock, is always on fire. It will consume any flame regardless of its temperature
2. It is hard to imagine that the more prodigal original copy of Sabo couldn't achieve awakening over the span of years when this fraud can do it in a couple of months. Regardless the argument has no meaning when you consider the first point.

Some even argue Sabo will surpass this advantage using haki. I'm sure he'll have a great time against haki of this caliber, combined ofcourse with DF disadvantage.

:zorothink:
"But there's nothing in the lore that connects a fight between Sakazuki and Luffy"

As you can see there is no relation whatsover between Goofy and Akainu :christindeed:
I'm sure Luffy only has one 1v1 left with Blackbeard in this final saga before he teams up with his father to beat up Imu.

-Sabo sees imu
-Imu targets sabo
-Goal of the revs is the topple celestial dragons anyways
- Im attempts to take out sabo

The reasoning for sabo vs akainu? Just cope, cuz theres no actual reasoning for the fight.
Imu never attempted to kill Sabo. The Gorosei called him "unlucky" for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Stop fabricating Headcannon.
Yes. Imu vs Joyboy after Joyboy defeated Akainu and Imu defeated Dragon.
Could be a possibility. With both Imu and Luffy needing comparable diff. And I doubt Imu vs. Dragon will be an extreme diff battle.

Dragon went from one of the most anticipating and hyped characters to a total tool. We will be lucky if he ever gets a fight and ofcourse he'll be used as hypetool saving his son from some attack after some chitchat during their first meeting making Luffy unlock G6 or something like this. Typical Loda spending 20+ years of secrecy for nothing.

There is a high chance Vegapunk will end up as one more failure at this point.
