what happened was akainu was attempting to kill any pirate in his sight, tried killing coby, shanks blocked his attack effortlessly, akainu was sweating and did nothing. shanks went to pick up his hat, akainu was sweating and did nothing. Shanks said the war is over, akainu was sweating and did nothing. Shanks said he is talking whitebeard and ace’s corpses with him, akainu was sweating and did nothing.
the difference between what you’re saying and what I’m saying is that only one of us has the panels to support their argument. Unless i missed a chapter where akainu disagreed with sengoku’s decision and where he wanted to fight shanks, feel free to link it.

Meh, Akainu was fired up like a madman, he was willing and trying to exterminate every pirate (you can see that by both words and facts) yet when Shanks stopped him without he even realizing he was not hitting a little boy anymore but a yonko he imnediately frooze, not even Aokiji managed that, he stood there in his place without moving and without saying nothing: the exact opposite of him a moment before Shanks appeared. All he dared to do was to scream his name yet when Shanks challenged the whole battlefield he was silent again, he was pretty close so he should have heard him, or did he become suddenly deaf?
While this is a BM who chocked Marco and then let it go to not waste power just like Luffy is doing. Sure, she had some sweat when her forst son was attacked yet this is not even remotely comparable to what happened, and the sweat is the least lol, to Akainu after Shanks appeared.
