Ngl, as much as I like Danzo, it's a little bit of a shame that he got so tied to the Uchiha plotline. If you think about it, it's actually kind of crazy how Danzo on screen never actually interacts with Naruto or Kakashi. The Kabuto flashback kind of gives you an idea of how deep his spy network went, it's crazy.
