Dressrosa was one big waste of time, horrendous pacing for a 100 chapter arc with it's content it surely could have been cut shorter. Stepping stone arc leading to Kaido my ass

Pacing - Alabasta

Characters - Alabasta (with some few exceptions like grand fleet characters, Kyros was decent too)

Fights - Alabasta by a landslide, zero good fights in Dressrosa. Even Doflamingo fight was dogshit. The arc where Usopp and Chopper tag team actually gave an entertaining fight (which Nami and Usopp in Onigashima should have had too but Oda clearly dropped the ball massively)

They had the same fórmula with the damsel in distress, character able to change appearance, usopp winning his fight with a fake trick and a few other similarities.

The difference is that alabasta had a LOT more soul due to being from the time where oda was still building a fanbase.

I reread Dressrosa and it's much more enjoyable than I remembered, and that hold for most of New World except the start of wano which is abysmal.
Colosseum without waiting week to week is nice, Tontatta is shorter than I remember. The only thing I hate is the running to go to Do Flamingo but yeah, One Piece has been about running for most of its course anyway.
Some people here should really re-read Alabasta and the old arcs, they are not as golden as they remember, and the things that they now contest to current One Piece are already there for the most part.
The focus that Kosa and Vivi have in Alabasta is immense, and jumping to another arc, anything non hiruruku in Drum is terrible, and extremely tedious.
I HATE SNOW ARCS (except egghead)
