I've never seen it been brought up, but how about the fact that Oda specifically gave Luffy's EoS opponent, the ability to render Devil Fruit abilities null. Why give Blackbeard such a broken ability against other Devil Fruit users, when his greatest opponent is supposed to have an "Average" Devil Fruit?

I just think of all the scenes where people see Luffy's fruit and their like... wait wtf that's not a thing. specifically Law and Kidd.

Law and kidd looked at him stretch almost as if how did he get so far with just stretching or hey this fruit is really weird, or hey their is something wrong with his logic here.

He has top haki that maybe bb won't

The gomu was always thought to be a counter to gura

Now
It's for imu

Luffys fruit will be a counter to whatever imu has
