can't help ya there. All I did in BDSP after the Elite 4/Champion was grind my team until Lv 100 for the 2nd + Final Rematch E4/Champion Rematch (which the final rematch was arguably imo as difficult as VS Volo if you go in blind) and then I pretty much stopped there, outside of getting Shaymin and Arceus from PLA clears

The regional forms from Sun and Moon were ultimately super successful. So I see why they're doing it.

And proper evolutions are even more so. Diamond and Pearl was a great example of this.
