Best Starters are Gen 3
  • All 3 Starters looked better than most
  • Torchic was good especially when it became Blaziken, and that HA.
  • Mudkip the best Gen 3 starter could carry you till the end of the game
  • Treecko the worst one of the three was able to do a lot early then late game as a Sceptile

Worst Starters being Unova's and Johto's (not including any Hisuian variants)
  • Chikorita being the worst starter ever, remember using all 3 starters in HG/SS it was nothing but useless
  • Cyndaquil being absoulately useless for most of the Johto games, except 2 gym leaders.
  • Totodile was the only good starter in Johto
  • Snivy and Oshawott better later in the gen's but at the time Snivy was one of the worst when Unova first came out
  • Tepig was just a wannabe Chimchar and Torchic but worse

i had to jump in with my mega feraligatr to snipe out some of the regular female pyroars and then escape the zone immediately while i watch alpha pyroar (male and female) fire off multiple Earth Power ☠️

and then come back in to finish them off 1 by 1. i can one shot pretty easily but their attacks target me instead of feraligate which makes it miserable, and Earth Power also hits you from buildings as well, which i found out the hard way from battling Alpha Mawile

I just noticed that I mostly chose the "blue" version:
Gen 1: blue edition
Gen 2: Soul Silver (never had Silver/Gold)
Gen 3: Sapphire (my childhood)
Gen 4: Diamond (my childhood 2.0)
Gen 5: White
Gen 6: X
Gen 7: Moon
Gen 8: Shield
Gen 9: Scarlet


Edit: I would switch Zekrom and Reshiram… Zekrom is definitely the blue one and Reshiram the red one

For me it's 1, 2, 3 for Red and Blue 4 forward

my team after beating the main story yet (but have not touched the post game yet)

thank god there was a reset option for multiple phases of Ange
even since PLA until now, i am fucking horrible at dodging anything
unlike hisui decidueye that was too slow and died from any hit, my feraligatr has no problem taking hits but i can't do shit when it comes to moving around my trainer
but very clutch and lucky asf that z-a lets restart after multiple checkpoints so i got to re-do right at the very end
and finish it off, but tbh now it feels super unsatisfying since you can only do it once but it took 3 hrs to get thru all the main story climax so i don't want to start over
so now i have to live with it, well until the final zygarde battle that is...
