Is there a possibility that some ancient tribes from the Void Century have actually kept themselves hidden and continued to do things like worship old gods?
One thing I have always wondered about is if Urouge knows more than he lets on.
I think Urouge may be a priest from a Sky Tribe who has knowledge of the Void Century and it may be possible that his Devil Fruit has been passed on from generation to generation. This would give him much more significance in the story.
Also... I think ancient tribes already knew the life/death cycle of Devil Fruits. So, they probably already knew they needed to have a similar fruit nearby to collect the essence of the Devil Fruit after it leaves a person's body upon their death.
It's weird to me that nobody ever kept Devil Fruits in their own communities via this method or at least that none have been mentioned yet. It would be logical for an ancient tribe to consider doing this if they had any idea it could occur.
