General & Others Anyone else dgaf about Imu or the gorosei?

Like I get that they are supposed to be the kings of the world, but I'd just hate for them to be the final villains. They are just completely impersonal characters that have no connection with any of the main cast(bar robin I guess).

Compare that to the admirals, compare that to the blackbeard pirates.

If Ds are the enemies of gods, I hope blackbeard and his crew defeat Imu and the gorosei and replace them as kings of the world. Then the final battle can be Shs vs Blackbeard pirates.

I've always liked the Gorosei.

Would love to be neutral about Imu. But I actually dread at what he means for the future of the story.

I mean… what do you expect? The entire endgame plotline, the Void Century, Joy Boy etc are all impersonal. They really have very little to do with the protagonists themselves outside of Robin, and even then Robin’s personal grudge should actually be directed at the Gorosei who caused Clover’s death.

How personal do you even want to get anyway? Akainu hates all pirates, not just Luffy. It’s literally his job to hunt him down and put him in the dirt like a dog. Lucci never hated Robin either, nor did Enel have any personal grudges against the Straw Hats, he just thought everyone and their mother was beneath him. This entire arc was set up as the Supernovas (Luffy and Law anyway) being ambitious and trying to take Kaido’s head. There’s very little personal enmity in One Piece, I’m surprised we’re even talking about this.

What ever is going to be involved with Vivi will give the SH enough motivation to take them down but they are red herrings for the BB pirates. Imu will be Dragons opponent.

So gladly you are not Oda. Even Oda has a better way of thinking. He will have to develop them any time. And you think too straight foward. Oda never writes like that.

I hope Imu is someone that had actually met Luffy before, in an unrevealed childhood flasback, and they had a meaningful dialogue about their perspective. If only Oda execute this kind of thing solidly, i can relate more to him.

How are the impersonal? They’re literally the people who have been controlling everything. They’re the world government they are the ones who make the rules and are the ones responsible for some of the greatest atrocities in one piece. They were the ones who made the laws favoring the Celestial Dragon leading to Sabo’s attempted murder, to Sabaody which was the straw hats greatest loss, to the genocide of the oharan people.

Do you think that the people who challenge the very nature of Luffys dream is impersonal?

The marines are just a branch of the world government. They’re just the puppets.

Do you see them as arguably stronger than the admirals?
