I'd be extremely surprised if doesn't make a haki arm and even a haki susanoo tbh lol. The anime gave him a giant haki bird vs Kidd too:
Shanks is gonna show some insane haki/jedi wizard shit, he's like the Qui Gon Jin of OP for me, he could be Obi Wan instead too or something but I feel he's more Qui Gon Jin more somehow, even though I've not seen Star Wars films since I was a teenager LMAO! (Like 2 decades ago now, RIP)
I'm sure he's gonna have his own equivalent of voice of all things and breath of all things too and only he has shown haki equal to Joyboy himself apparently, the biggest haki feat in the series by far (except for turning a blade permanently black, hehehe).

I asked AI on who fits better for Shanks since my Star Wars knowledge is so little/rusty lol:

While both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn share some similarities with Shanks, he leans more towards Qui-Gon Jinn in terms of his overall demeanor and relationship with the protagonist. Here's why:
While both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn share some similarities with Shanks, he leans more towards
Qui-Gon Jinn in terms of his overall demeanor and relationship with the protagonist. Here's why:
Similarities with both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon:
- Mentor Figure: Like both Jedi, Shanks acts as an early mentor and inspiration for the main character, Luffy. He sets Luffy on his path and believes in his potential.
- Powerful and Respected: All three are highly skilled and command respect in their respective worlds.
- Calm and Collected: Shanks generally displays a calm and composed demeanor, much like both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon.
More akin to Qui-Gon Jinn:
- Maverick/Unconventional: Qui-Gon was known for his independent thinking and willingness to bend the rules of the Jedi Order, often following the Living Force rather than strict dogma. Shanks, similarly, operates outside the established norms of the pirate world and even has mysterious connections to the World Government, suggesting he doesn't always play by the expected pirate rules.
- Trusting Instincts: Qui-Gon often emphasized "feeling, don't think, use your instincts." Shanks also seems to operate based on his own intuition and judgment, such as when he intervened to save Luffy in the East Blue.
- Belief in the Chosen One (in a way): Qui-Gon strongly believed Anakin Skywalker was the Chosen One. Shanks shows a similar deep faith in Luffy's potential to change the world, even sacrificing his arm for him.
- Less Formally "Teacherly": While Obi-Wan took on a more direct and traditional teacher role with Anakin, Qui-Gon's mentorship was often more about guidance and instilling a certain philosophy.10 Shanks' influence on Luffy is similar – more about inspiring and setting an example than formal training.
Differences from Obi-Wan:
- More Relaxed and Less Dogmatic: Obi-Wan, while wise, was generally more aligned with the Jedi Code and could be somewhat rigid.. Shanks has a more laid-back and jovial personality, a stark contrast to Obi-Wan's often serious nature.
- Different Relationship with the Protagonist: Obi-Wan's relationship with Anakin evolved into a brotherly bond, while Shanks maintains more of a guiding figure role for Luffy from a distance.
In conclusion, while Shanks shares the role of a mentor with both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, his independent nature, trust in his instincts, and almost prophetic belief in Luffy's destiny align him more closely with the character of
Qui-Gon Jinn.

Also we've seen Kaido and Big Mom bring up "pirate code/honour" at least, I'm sure Xebec would have had some form of it and I'm certain Blackbeard does especially of all people too ofc and I imagine some some other pirates we've known and seen. I think Shanks and his crew do follow in it too but they're more bigger picture too, not just pirate code but "greater good" or "pragmatic peacekeepers/balancers" or something.
