Ryuma is already there in zombie form.
No reason to hide his face if its Ryuma.
And considering that we are going back into past where even void century feels recent, this might indeed be someone way older than Ryuma.
If I had to guess by going as far back as possible, then the fitting guess would be earth god and his serpent of hellfire considering that entire colour spread is on fire...
