That's how it always goes when a weaker character is bunched up with a stronger character lol.

The fans of the weaker character have to use anything and everything they get to their favor. Even using the hype that the stronger character gets to say it's also hype for the weaker one by proxy.

There's other cases of this in one piece itself.

There are many, many trios in different manga that one way or another can be parallelled to the monster trio.

Take these from Naruto

Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Tsunade

Nagato, Kabuto, Shizune(?)

Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura

#1 and #2 are almost equal in Naruto with #3 being a distant third. Some might argue it’s the same in One Piece, I’d rather say 100/85/65 or something.

It doesnt make #3 weak in verse, just when compared to #1 and #2 (to lesser extent, smaller gap)

Sanji's dream never had anything to do with strength. I don't get why people get so triggered when people point out that Luffy>Zoro>Sanji. Sanji is very impressive for someone that doesn't care about fighting.

Luffy and Zoro are a duo more than any strawhats, anyone who reads manga from the beginning knows this.

Robins line PK Wings is the happiest day of Simpji fans existence. It doesn't compare to anything Lanji has done actually in the manga. Being in the same sentence as Zoro is the best feat they have, imagine such a low & wretched existence.

And they know this that's why they hate Zoro because the gap is getting bigger, the closer we are getting to the end.

Wings was never about zoro and sanji being equals but of their importance to the crew. Anyone using wings in a power context is always going to be for sanji because they are trying to use it as a portrayal of power. Sanji doesn't have feats on par with Zoro's so to keep arguing they are close people have to hang onto portrayal and ignore feats. It's the same as "rivals" before where zoro and sanji just had to be close because they were rivals and don't think about feats or displays of thier abilities.
