Lol not from my personal perspective, I've always given people chances. For example, in my profession, I manage a team of people where they all individually contribute to a common goal. When a new person transfers to my section from another, they always come with a managerial review. Those reviews may include the words, "lazy, disruptive, unfocused, lone wolf, etc." I literally always give each and every person the benefit of doubt to make my own assessment despite what was included in those reviews.
So yeah, in reality I don't take people's words as gospel for what they say of others.
