I'm gonna go with Logia.
1. Plants/Trees are classified as a natural element. We haven't seen a Paramecia manipulate a natural element.
2. Logia's were demonstrated to have the personality of the element that they carry. Aramaki fasting can be applied that he is already have a medium to have the nutrition's he needs to last for over 3 years[X]. Which can be related to his DF's power as well being sufficient in sunlight and water(drink).
3. Terrain implications. Much like how the Logia's going out using their natural element to change the terrain's natural order[PH]. The same is being done by Greenbull in [Wano/Udon]
4. Entrance comparison: Aramaki has an interesting entrance portrayal similar to Aokiji's "outro" of his characters first appearance.
As Aokiji was leaving the stage of that story arc he was leaving a trail of his DF to demonstrate his elemental power usage:
Very much like Aramaki is using his natural element power trails to demonstrate his element power usage:
