At this point I guess it can be a subquestion of this thread since there are like.. 4 or 5 people who are actually "serious" players and they are all in this thread. So who is the best chess player in WG up to this point? Eventually somebody will be able to answer this lol

I'm bad at chess, I tried it and seriously I don't expect much.

Thing is I'm not patient when coming to Chess.

I don't take the time to anticipate the possible outcome of each turn and my short term memory is not amazing.

I'm decent enough. I think I'm quick in taking pawns and stuff but then I forget sometimes in protecting the big guns. So it's a hit and miss but I enjoy chess it's a good strategy and interesting game to play and watch.

So I reached 1900 in rating earlier and I thought I was going to play a game or two, I lost both and went back to 1800's, then the guy said he was a gm and I shouldn't waste my rating on him and I said just because you're gm doesn't mean you can't be beat.

Well that didn't happen and now I gotta climb back up in rating, it was good for experience atleast. I think that's the first time I've ever played against a gm.

I now know how big the world is.

No, my rating is on lichess.org

No , i only have Lichess ratings . currently my Bullet is 2005 , Blitz 2009 , and Rapid 1886

if i were to have a Fide rating , my rating would be far lower than any of those 3 , maybe something like 1500

Yes , in all 3 categories i'm better than 85% or more other Lichess players .

still , i don't even have any opening repertoire , i just play 1. D4 every game with White
( and D5 with Black ) , and then develop the Knights and Bishops , etc.

i thought you knew them why didn't ya start playing FIDE tournaments tho? Or do you just play to kill your time?

No , i just know some of their names
( Najdorf , Grunfeld , Caro-Kann , Queen's Gambit , Berlin Defense etc. ) but don't know their moves .

No , i'm just playing Chess as a hobby so this fits more into "to kill time" category .
