I doubt they are real. Imo they are likely just mythological entities with which ancient folk explained major events happening in the world- basically like RL mythological gods.

And these events might have partially been caused by ancient alien civilization and their technology.

And later on technology made dream based fruits ouf ot these myths I think.

But I hope I'm wrong. I'd like it if some real gods and ancient monsters exist in this world.

Imu is clearly not a real god, and so is not Nika imo so im gonna assume all of them are just stands in for very mighty figures

People forget that the people in wano thought coc haki and DF were magic because it was so rare

They are real in that people believed in them, but they do not actually exist as entities nor are there devil fruits for them imo.
I think what hints they are not real is the line at the end of first and second world in harley text "They never meet again" which can refer to land and people being separated. The "earth god and hell serpent causing destruction" can simply refer to one huge continent being destroyed to bunch of islands and separated by red line.

We already know that it was usage of uranus repeatedly which caused rise of water level and sinking of more islands and not any sea god.

They're real, almost guaranteed that Joyboy's predecessor was one of these gods "Sun god" and that certain DFs are a manifestation of such entities like the serpent (possibly the Yami fruit)

If the competing shonen of its era Naruto and Bleach are anything to go by. Legends (Soul king/Kaguya) are always based on reality to some extent

The same famous theory
Since Oda is very interested in this arc and has proven that it is very important to him, it is very likely that all 4 of them exist.

And if we want to give an example for the hellish snake, we can point to this page.

I think there the strongest DF apart from Sea God that's clearly Poseidon. But imo Imu has the Earth God DF and Blackbeard has the Forest God DF. That's why Blackbeard DF cancel others since the original wilder created the DFs.

Earth god covered the world in darkness which feels more close to what yami does imo.

If forest god does not refer to birth of DFs then it more closely relates to imu who can create and send demons with domi reversi.

BB being earth god reincarnate and imu being forest god makes more sense for now.

I thought so at 1st but Dawn and Dusk video about the text changed my mind.
