Boa and her sisters were Kuja pirates yet random slavers were able to capture them? Where was their captain. This was 19 years ago.

The previous Queen abdicated her throne 13 years ago due to love sickness.

I genuinely think it’s not just possible but likely that this Kuja empress was missing when Boa and her sisters got captured cause she stayed back to give birth.

However, as boys cannot stay in Amazon Lily she gave Luffy to Dragon who took him to the East Blue.

And this love sickness? Familial love. After 6 years without her son; she abdicated the throne to go to the east blue alone where she was attacked by a CP9 ship and had her fruit stolen which was then stolen by Shanks.

I think Mihawk knows (assuming he’s related to Imu). He wanted to see if Shanks was telling the truth or not and was implying something after he tested Luffy’s strength.

There's the theory that he's a member of the Nerona family but that's pretty much it

Mihawk is Dracula, the lord of the night. He is only powerful when there is NO sunlight. His sword is a cross, his ship a coffin. Even if only indirectly, he is linked to Nika.

He may have backed-up the wrong faction in the past (darkness/moon) because he was tricked into it or after his mentioned betrayal, and is still regreting it.

I really doubt CP9 could take her out if she was the previous Kuja empress
We know that Gloriosa and Hancock are strong enough to survive God Valley and Marineford, so I don't believe the empress between them couldn't slap the soul out of some Cipher Pol agents.
She'd have to get ambushed hard.
