Kaido and BM could never overcome Roger and later Whitebeard.

There was Roger's era, then Whitebeard's but his death led to the throne wars with no Pirate being able to seize this era for himself yet.

BM and Kaido are they silver medalists ?

they are Great Pirates who stood equal to Prime Beard .... they SHARE same fucking rank and fame as him

Yes by definition they are. Even if they have not lost directly against either Roger or Whitebeard (all lost against Roger, including WB, but to be fair, Kaidou was younger), it could not be more obvious that Roger and WB are supposed to be the wall they could not overcome, by BM´s own admission who admitted she might have done it with the help of the giants though.

Great Pirate Era was WB´s era.

They can only be considered Silver medalists after they're defeated with no chance at making a comeback. You can't call the two people running at the front of the race silver medalist while they're still running.
