Questions & Mysteries Are Marco and Yamato red herrings?

With the Momotaro legend seemingly coming into fruition, it makes me wonder if Kaido vs Momo and the dog (Yamato) monkey (Luffy) and pheasant (Marco) is legit or just a ploy to deviate expectations like all the other fights.

Is this going to be the final fight to devolve into Luffy vs Kaido once more or is Kaido going to make it through this round only for round 5 to be his final bout.

I think this will be the final round because Luffy said he won't lose again in 1020.

Yamato is still holding it down and stalling Kaido.Luffy should release his new attack or new mode from the get-go. If Marco does decide to go to the roof, he will more than likely play the role of support by healing Luffy and Yamato.
Marco as the healer, Yamato as the tank and Luffy as the Dps chiping away at the final boss Kaido.

Momotaro gave kiwi dango to a dog and monkey character, which is what Tama did at the start of Wano, so it seems Tama is meant to be like Momotaro instead of Momonousuke.

People in this fandom are so obsessed with finding hidden clues and deeper meanings in what amounts to a highly generic comic book; more often than not, a cigar is just a cigar, boys, Occam’s Razor and all that other shit. Even for someone as notorious for misdirection and subversion of expectations as Oda to make everything in his story a decoy for something else would be exhausting and lazy as hell.

Momonosuke and Tama both represent Momotaro. Tama has the Kibi Dango ability while Momonosuke has the "Momo" name and is considered the leader of the samurai.

Also while Tama did feed the Kibi Dango to the baboon, Komachiyo (the lion-dog) is just her friend and hasn't been tamed by her ability. She's also missing a pheasant.

It is a red herring no one was really even asked to find. Maybe Oda thought about it and chuckled, but the idea is weak. Like Luffy and Momo can fly up, and Zoro can take King to free up Marco. But why? Oda isn't always subtle but still, at the last minute he's gonna start shaking things up to beat the Onigashima reference into the ground? What the hell is Momo gonna do, is Marco gonna hold Kaido like he was holding Queen so this scared ass little boy will slit the throat as gang initiation?
