Powers & Abilities Are Sanji's mutations dormant?

#1
So Sora took a drug that was meant to revert the lineage factors for the kids, but it only worked on Sanji. However, I want to posit that it worked in a way that Sora did not expect. So Sora's main reason for taking the drug was to ensure that her kids were not stripped of their positive emotions like patience, empathy, love, and gentleness, so we know that Sanji has these emotions, however, I don't think Sora contemplated that Sanji's mutations would still be there.

Isn't it odd that whenever Sanji taps into his emotions he gets powered up? Now you could argue pre-timeskip that friction was the main reason that Sanji was able to generate fire, but the argument doesn't hold post-timeskip where Sanji not only can spontaneously combust but that he can now envelope himself in a cloak of flames and generate enough of it to burn a mountain-sized Fishman in a single kick. Friction does not explain this at all!!

This is the exact opposite of what happens with the Vinsmoke siblings and I think Oda purposefully used that to show that the mutations did work but are only active when Sanji's emotions are triggered. Even the Germa soldiers proclaim after seeing Sanji's flames that he sure has the Vinsmoke bloodline. I think pretty soon we are going to see Sanji's exoskeleton come into play and it will be triggered by great emotional distress.

So do you think that Sanji's mutations could somehow be triggered by his emotions?

I basically already created this theory:feelsokeman:

My theory is = The Drug Sora made caused Sanji to have powers manipulated by his emotions. Which in then caused DJ and HM. Once Sanji and Judge have their next talk or once Sanji meets Vegapunk he will realise his strength is manipulated by his emotions. As one he is at his angriest when he is at his strongest....however once he cools down he becomes weaker. And when he feels overwhelmed he is not as strong.

I will make a theory on it one day.

Sorry should have added that I didn't create it, but I wanted to discuss this
No worries. My lazy ass couldnt be asked. So thank you for creating it.

I do agree that his emotions do control his strength.

I also think their are different lvls to DJ

My theory steams off that DJ is a mutation caused by the drugs that Sora took. Since Sanji took all the emotions that were supposed to be for all 4 brothers....he is extremely passionate for a human being. This then created Diable Jambe.

I believe Diable Jambe depends on his emotions. The more angrier he gets the more stronger the attack.

Now take this for example when Sanji first met Vergo. He made him bleed and sent his ass flying with nameless attack.

Afterwards with Flanchet Strike he wasnt able to do as much damage

So why was a nameless attack stronger than named attack. Mostly because Sanji's techniques are named after the body parts he hits instead of being heiarchialy ranked in power like Luffy and Zoro. Sanji was more angrier with the first hit as you can see in the panel. But his anger became less as the fight continued and instead of anger he had to actually concentrate on the fight. The strength of the attack stems from how he is in the momment.

This is why base attacks were breaking Jabra's tekkai whilst a day before one of his strongest moves couldnt break through Blueno.

So like I said I believe their are different lvls of DJ dependant on how pissed off Sanji is at the moment. And HM is the highest lvl. And tbh HM further supports my idea because of how easy he is able to go in this mode. With one bad thought, he can literally generate Wada lvl AoE

The issue to this rule is Doffy. Was Sanji not pissed off against him or was he more in his protective nature and wanted to just be a distraction. Was he too scared that if he went in HM he may cause damage to his crewmates.

Dont know if Oda even thinks of these things.

Ever since the Vinsmokes and their technological prowess were introduced, I figured this had to eventually happen in the story. Sanji receiving the Raid Suit is the most likely conduit through which he’ll permanently awaken his genetic abilities, probably sometime during the fight against Kaido and Big Mom.

Suddenly think about this:
What if the drug that Sora consume take effect to all Vinsmoke Quadruplets but it work in a different way?
For Sanji, he retain his feeling and will develop his genetic modification later as a late bloomer in genetic modification.

On the other hand, other Vinsmokes show genetic modification since they were kid, but they emotion aren't loss because the drug that Sora took.
Later, under certain situation, they could start to develop their emotion too as a late bloomer in emotional development.
Kinda like Sanji, but on the opposite route.

We could say then that all of the Vinsmoke Quadruplets owe both of their parents, physical capabilities/genetic modification to Judge and emotional expression to Sora.

They aren't dormant, but they're not non-existent either. I have a theory on it, but it would take too long to explain in the thread. It's part of a set of theories I started way back when, pertaining to connections I made between the Final Fantasy video game franchise and One Piece. Perhaps one day when I have more time on my hands I'll actually be able to sit down and write it all out.

It's been explained that Sanji's Lineage Factor got successfully manipulated on paper but the results never appeared. It's like an asymptomatic disease. So the effects are technically dormant, the question is whether they will manifest themselves someday. I believe they will, maybe in this very arc, or the next one. Reversed SSJ might be on the way.

Maybe.

Always thought it was odd for Oda to keep Judge’s eyebrows still hidden at the end of WCI.

Maybe we’ll learn that his eyebrows are normal and that the swirl is indicative of the mutations.

What do you mean by mutations lol

He is just an human

Every drug simply has side effects

I doubt this is the case however, makes no sense

It's just genetics

Its been stated he has the mutant gene so it just hasn't manifested yet. It a clear pu oda is gonna give when ever he really needs it. Plus i like sanji dj and and is resistance to heat being explained as early mutant gene than friction and cooking in the kitchen.

I wouldn't mind if he got his birthright. Imo Sora only wanted her children not to be emotionless Monsters, powers should be fine.
The biggest disappointment is the Prototype, a prototype should be better and probably incorporate everything and the mass produced streamlines and is a less effective product.
