Speculations Are the Buccaneers an artificially engineered race?

#1
This little theory is going sound like Ancient Kingdom slander, but I will say it.

Due to what Vegapunk said about the Ancient Kingdom having been just as advanced as Egghead, I believe it is not a reach to theorize they were also capable of messing around with living beings' Lineage Factor.

It suddenly dawned on me that if the hypothesis is valid, the Ancient Kingdom's experiments could have created all of these Human subraces/tribes we keep seeing like the Kuja, Long-legs, Long-arms, Three-Eyes, Snake-neck, among others (dont count actual non-Human races like Fishmen, Minks, Giants, Sky Islanders and Lunarians)

What if the durable, strong and powerful Buccaneers were one such creation, created to be both workers and soldiers under the Ancient Kingdom?
I believe humans with "giants blood" sounds too much like an artificially engineered race.

What if the Buccaneers were used as the top infantries of the Ancient Kingdom against the Twenty Kingdoms during the war in the Void Century?
This could line up with Saturn's statement that the Buccaneers commited an atrocity against the world in the past.
Maybe the Buccaneers laid waste to many kingdoms' capitals and did some creepy shit to the civilians there as part of the war.

Anyway what do you guys think?

I do like the multiple directions on where the Buccaneers can go in the story, whether it be companions of the D clan or genetic engineering for less than honorable purposes, etc. More layers of gray are always welcome; after all, it's far more interesting if the Ancient Kingdom wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Would be great if both the AK and the 20 kingdoms that became the WG were flawed in their ideologies. History is written by the victors.

Honestly, I say put a pin on this thought and return to the subject after 1109.

🤔 Artificially engineered I don't think so

But Genetically manipulated through years of natural selection and breeding to get desired result much like humans did with dogs

Is possible 🤔

I wondered about this too. The only explanation I can think of for now is that the Ancient Kingdom was betrayed and sabotaged from the inside.
Still...

What about Nika? He was so fucking powerful how did he lost? And how things will be different now?
