Honestly, as much as it pains me to say that:
I’m believing in the Zoro/Luffy vs Kaido now more than Zoro vs King

there is literally ZERO encounter so far between Zoro and King

what kind of stupid build up is that???

at least Sanji vs Queen has the judge connection, while Sanji vs King had a clash before and both can fly…etc

but Zoro vs King really have no build up at all… it will be just a pure match with no background..

Don’t get me wrong, Oda lately fucks up so much writing wise that it may happen, but really, it feels meh… even Jinbe vs Who’s who Oda built a story around it

Anything can happen at this point. This is no difference than Oda having Kid abandon his grudge against Kaidou completely to go hunt Big Mom.

Kid's in it for the glory, I think. After all, he did infiltrate WCI (before even meeting Kaido) and BFR'ed Big Mom from Roof Piece. So Kid targeting her is still logical.

Mr. 1 never met Zoro and that was still a good fight. You don't need to meet ypur opponent before. You can just add things during their fight.

Yeah the argument of meeting someone is as trivial as it looks. Battles are determined on the Battlefield honestly. There's also no particular pattern to be spot here that indicates anything like that.

Zoro didn't meet ohm either and that was a long arc. I don't care if Zoro fights king or not btw.

Zoro will fight the weaker Calamity because he’s already heavily injured and won’t fully recover even if Marco and/or Chopper treat him, so Sanji takes on the stronger Calamity

You mean like every fight this arc bar 3? Almost no fights had any set up is this a joke? Most of Zoros fights don’t have set up anyways.

I guess Sanji probably needed some time before getting back from that attack. Page One alone had him experience some pain according to his own admission, so I guess King had him experience broadly more.

While I find Queen entertaining, I'll be honest, I don't give a damn about Queen or King enough to care about this fight.

The tobi roppo are all disappointing as hell, execution wise, so I don't expect anything from these fights outside of kaido.
