I think the reality is that Yamato is gender fluid
She is not. She is 100% women. She has mental issues that made her wanting to do the thinks Oden did. That's why she behaviour like a man not because she feels she is a man.

She isn't shame of her feminine body and even use earrings and feminine stuff. But she try to copy Oden in everything. That's why she is taking bath with men, calling herself Oden etc.

Kiku is the one who identifies as a woman. That's why she wants to use ladies bathroom because as a woman she feels unconfortable to take bath with men.

Ivankov and his right hand man(the cutting dude that is always with him) is the gender fluid since both are changing their sex from time to time.

Or, where the story points to, Yamato's shlick as a "male" stems from larping as Oden and not believing she's a male born with a female's body.
The story points to Yamato partly identifying as a man. There are several occurence of this.

Yes. She is female.

She has huge boobies.
Born a female, boobs and a vagina, obvious answer
That's not how gender works

She is not. She is 100% women
Not really not.

She has mental issues that made her wanting to do the thinks Oden did. That's why she behaviour like a man not because she feels she is a man.
Psychophobia much ? No Yamato doesn't have signs of mental issue and even if, those does not make your gender fluctue like that.

But she try to copy Oden in everything.
It's not just a copy, its an identification.

That's why she is taking bath with men
And that points to gender fluidism. identifying as a Women a day, and others moments.. a man (like Oden).

Kiku is the one who identifies as a woman.
Kiku is a transwomen which is different from being a gender fluid. In a way transgender are the opposite of gender fluid people.

Ivankov and his right hand man
Ivankov and Inazuma are also gender fluid indeed. They are just more "obvious" examples.

She was born a woman. Why wouldn't she be?

Her gender isn't fluctuating. Fandom is fluctuating her gender. She doesn't have signs of mental issue? She was calling Momo as her son and is calling herself Oden. How is that not a mental issue? Look how Kaido trated her she has everything explained to be mentally disturbed.
It's not just a copy, its an identification.
She is literally copying. Oden had a son called Momonosuke so she is calling him her son and protecting him as he would(but still not protecting him and letting Kaido almost kill him *sigh* Oda...). Oden travelled Wano before going to the seas so she does that too instead of jumping to her dream of discovering the world. She is simply copying Oden.
And that points to gender fluidism. identifying as a Women a day, and others moments.. a man (like Oden).
No. She doesn't identifies as a man because she is only copying Oden as I said above. Oden took bath on man's bathroom and so as she.
Ivankov and Inazuma are also gender fluid indeed. They are just more "obvious" examples.
They are the only example.

Yamato is basically a hardcore Oden cosplayer. She is not trans unlike Kiku.
No they identify as Oden meaning that they identify as a man as much as they calls themself Yamato. With Yamato, its something that goes both ways.

Therefore, Yamato is Gender Fluid.

She was born a woman. Why wouldn't she be?
You are not born with a gender. Gender is a social construction.
We are not talking about sex characteristics here. But GENDER.

Her gender isn't fluctuating
It is, Yamato both identify as Oden and also identify as themself "Yamato". They are coming and going. They are therefore genderfluid.

She is literally copying.
That's what happens when we identify as a gender : we are "copying" the gender norms of a specific gender. In that case its a man and Oden more specifically. Yamato is just pushing the identification a bit farther to relate to someone they love.

No. She doesn't identifies as a man because she is only copying Oden as I said above. Oden took bath on man's bathroom and so as she.
This is excactly what identification is.

Yamato adores Oden so much, she wanted to be Oden. That's no genderfluid. That's obsession 100. Hell, Yamato literally called Momo her son. Do you think that's a person wanting to be a man? Oden could also be a women and Yamato would still cosplay as Oden. That's the difference. It is quite similar to Kanjuro playing the role of a scabbard when he wasn't in fact (as the sense of him being Orochi's ally).

When you identify so much as something it is. Oden has become the "gender" of Yamato. Take a little look at the trans and LGBTQ+ structure and you will understand that gender is actually a pretty vast concept. Man and Woman are just two of a LOT of gender around the gender spectrum and identities.

Yamato does not only refer to them as Oden so in that way, they are gender fluid. (it actually took me a while to realize that)

I only went to school in a normal country sorry
Sadly, most school have a pretty poor education system when we talk about scientific and sociological issue concerning gender and sex.
