- Sabaody - was pretty short, but concise with SNs introduction, Rayleigh's introduction, the crew defying shitty World nobles, especially the Zoro and more importantly Luffy scene of punching Carlos in the face, admiral power, despair through Kuma who eradicated the entire crew. It truly had everything.
Agreed. Sabaody is world building which is probably One Piece's greatest strength, at full display.
With other arcs you can always find a flaw or two no matter how enjoyable they are. Sabaody is executed flawlessly from the actual content, which has literally everything imaginable (fishman race relations, celestial dragons, the weight of a navy admiral, Worst Generation, legendary Roger pirate, Shichibukai Kuma making the SH transition), right down to the pacing. It's also the least predictable arc.
Sabaody was a demonstration of Oda's skill, being able to pack that many players and expanding the lore into one relatively short arc, and pull it off that smoothly. There are die hard fanbases of characters who barely had a few panels in that arc, to be able to do that as an author is incredible.
