When the author himself discourages speculation and theories, being so petty he will change the story if fans get it right there is zero appeal waste your time on that
Yeah that thing sucks but it is what it is we still can

I kind of get if you are an author you want to reveal the secrets yourself but hey man it's fun for us

If you think Oda is stupid enough to change the story because of some theory, maybe you shouldn't theorize lol.

Of course he will not do that. Or at the very maximum, he will adapt a little plot point. and transform it to make it more impactfull (and better). But no, he won't ever change his entire story just because a fan discovered his endingS.

Doing that would be like cooking a cake, getting all the ingredients and mounting it just to put some steaks and, potatoes, blue cheese and ketchup on top of it at the end just to surprise you. It's dumb. No writer does that. What he can do on the other hand is instead of using sweat cream, he will use carmel and chocolate.

And Oda never discouraged anyone to theorize, that's another bad fanbase rumors. He simply said that he prefered to look away from theories because he don't want to be influenced by them.

The decrease in theories is not because of One Piece or Oda, it's because of the mechanical structure of stories and the sad behavior of the fanbase that backfired.

For the purpose of getting into one piece no, I was a fan of one piece decades before this site existed

But to interact with one piece community and meet like minded people and make new friends that enjoy one piece just as much but can still critize when critique is deserved then yeah 100% id recommend this place

Joining communities with people with common interest is a great way to make life long friends

I still have people I keep in contact with from this community I used to be in I joined there back in 2017
been into One Piece since like 2010

I truly hope you're trolling here

I'm very serious, the workouts I had listening to Wano weekly were legendary and Gear 5 made me cry, Marineford was very boring in comparison, a few clashes and Whitebeard vs Akainu, a dark story, and I think dark stories suck, compared to Wano's amazing victory, I don't really care about Marineford but for me Wano moved mountains

I get what he is saying. I wouldn't go to say it's boring, but I agree that it is a bit overrated by the fanbase in the sense that it is described as this amazing masterpiece above all else, when other things are amazing as well

Marineford relies mostly on auras and revelations. There is a VERY STRONG outline backbone and pacing, maybe the strongest of the entire saga. (which is logical, it's the story of the big fall of Luffy). But these strong elements tend to radiate on everything else, making it seem like the entire thing is on the same level.

Don't get me wrong. Marineford is almost perfect, but it's not that thing above everything else. Whole Cake, Water Seven, and Wano came very close in term of narration. While those arcs lack pacing to make them perfect, Marineford lacks the narrative depth. None are perfect stories but they are definitely not leagues apparts but very close.

I think the most important thing about Wano is that it having no stakes is true, but it is also the point, Wano came after 10 years of Luffy getting stronger arc after arc, if I train for 10 years, I am going to fight to win, I'm not fighting to lose and feel sad about myself, I'm going there to win, there are no stakes, I'm training hard, winning, and enjoying my victory

That's the point of Wano, victory, not like other stories where they struggle hard, not that those stories are bad, but this is a criticism I really disagree about on Wano
