Shanks has future sight yet he relys on Yasopps's opinion on enemies' health. Is Hakiman Shanks just trying to be polite with asking his crew mate on the enemies status, when he should easily be able to tell himself?

Shanks has future sight yet he relys on Yasopps's opinion on enemies' health. Is Hakiman Shanks just trying to be polite with asking his crew mate on the enemies status, when he should easily be able to tell himself?

Yasopp literaly had goggles with him to check out the enemy. You are overthinking it.
And even as a Shanks fan, I wouldn't be surprised if Yasopp has better observation haki than Shanks, or at least in some areas of it.
Just like how Sanji can sense women in danger sooner than Luffy even though Luffy has future sight and Sanji does not.
