Let's discuss the powerscaling in the Avatar universe.

For starters, who is the strongest bender in each of the elements? Avatars are excluded from this question for obvious reasons. Here's my list:
Fire:
I'd say Ozai is the firebender who impressed me the most. The flames he was generating during his final fight were extremely huge. The speed at which he creates lighting is far faster than Azula and Iroh. Iroh admitted himself that he's not sure if he can beat Ozai. Ozai also completely dominated (pre-Avatar state obviously) Aang even though Aang had a good grasp on all four elements at the time which is very impressive. The show creators also said Ozai is the strongest firebender when the finale first aired in an Extras bit.
Water:
Giving this one to Yakone. He was able to bloodbend an entire room of like 30 people (including the Avatar and Toph) without any body movement, I'd say that is the most impressive non-Avatar feat in the entire series. He also trained Tarrlok and Amon and turned them both into master waterbenders and master bloodbenders at an extremely young age. I can't really see how any other waterbender compares to Yakone in all honesty. All of Tarrlok and Amon's water/blood bending feats scale to Yakone.
Earth:
Going to have to go with Toph. She was taught by the original earth bending masters. Her seismic sense ability is very overpowered and Aang, Lin, and Su were never as good at seismic sensing as Toph. She invented metal bending. She was able to knock Kuvira's troops and mechas to the ground with one move, and despite Kuvira outnumbered Toph by a large amount of soliders and mecha, Kuvira was too afraid to challenge Toph and allowed Toph and her allies to escape.
Air:
Giving this one to Tenzin. When you see Tenzin and Zaheer racing to the top of the temple, you can see how Tenzin is using more impressive airbending than Zaheer and can jump far higher with a single move. Zaheer was unable to land a single blow on Tenzin while Tenzin clearly had the upper hand throughout their entire fight. The fight was so one sided that the other Red Lotus members had to join in and jump Tenzin because Zaheer was on the verge of defeat. It's an extremely impressive feat because Zaheer is a really strong fighter, Zaheer defeated Kya and Tonraq who are both water bending masters and Zaheer defeated a countless amount of White Lotus members and yet he was still outclassed by Tenzin.
I do think Jinora is going to end up being the greatest Airbending master of all time when she gets older though, surpassing Tenzin. Jinora is the youngest airbending master of all time, getting her tattoos even before Aang did. Jinora is the only person who can perform spiritual projection. And that large tornado that Jinora and Opal created together that held off Kuvira's entire army is a really impressive feat. She comes across as more of an air bending prodigy then Aang and Tenzin did.
