Read that thread before and then read Worsthenhq thought. It all make sense now,why he asked Luffy who he is, why he was glad that Luffy had his mind and control over his new form. All selfexperince which he had.

Yeah the spirit of the animal or god influences the behavior of the user during awakening

It honestly really explains monster chopper.

Pre timeskip, choppers mind and body was too weak and when he forced monster chopper out he destroyed his body and went mindless

Post timeskip, his mind is stronger so when he went monster chopper his personality stayed but his body was too weak so he paralyzed himself

Now, he’s pushed his body and mind even more it’s caused his body to revert to a baby then aged his mind.

Also bonus explains why Franky in choppers body couldn’t control monster chopper

Then it's already got debunked.

You didn't understand his point. Zoans seem to have a spirit of their own. When Luffy awakened he was laughing uncontrollably and even wondered himself why he's laughing continuously, that's clearly the spirit of Nika. As Kaido stated Luffy grew to a state where his body and mind are able to utilise the awakening or let's wait for the viz for a better translation.

Pre time skip Chopper and Post timeskip monster chopper when franky was in we didn't know that he got took over or just in rage mode that can't control himself.

But in case of Luffy is already confirmed that even Luffy still naive to awakening no any spirits take over him.
Let alone when he master it.

Its didn't say it have spirits of their own. It just say only will.

That’s because Franky and Chopper didn’t have a mind strong enough to control monster point whereas Luffy does. Which is why he’s still in control and why Chopper is now in control of monster point
