The confusion is due to the Special Class of Weapon, Swords called Meito's where those can transmit Haki to Air Slashes and such..

Normal Weapons can not retain Haki to an object that is not connected to the Haki source, or person..

It's time people understand that Famed Blades have Haki related abilties that random Blades do not..

Headcannon. Nowhere in manga states that.

A logia or Paramecia can not control their ability if it is detached from their body, unless they have awakened their
powers.. Likewise for Haki in Devil Fruit abilties outside of the user's touch and reach, a mixed technique of CoA
and CoC is required..

What you mean by this? That Cracker has CoC? That Pistol Kiss had haki? Pistol Kiss doesn't make sense but never showed to hurt Luffy.

This can be seen with Ace when he solidified his Flames as Fire Spears against Blackbeard.. It's the equivalent of
the Kuja Arrows.. Ace's Fire abilities do not have the properties of Great Grade Blades, he can not just flow CoA in them and
trust they will hold the metal like features that Haki provide..
