Future Events Bb is going to kill Garp

There are lots of people who think blackbeard is going to kill shanks for luffys character development as well as to further hype blackbeard before his fight with luffy. I've always disagreed with that theory, however after the most recent chapter I don't find it unlikely that blackbeard will kill garp. It won't make as much of an impact on luffys character as Shanks death would but it could make quite a bit of difference in kobys character development as well as add more hype to blackbeard vs luffy.

Garp wasn't Roger's rival, garp was just the closest to ever catching Roger, the only marine anywhere close to Roger's level, he still wasn't on Roger's level.

I've been in support of this theory for a while, but at this point I doubt Oda's ability to go through with killing important characters anymore.

I don't think he's incapable of going through with it, I just don't think a tragic gorey death in every arc goes along with the type or story he's trying to write. He's trying to keep things lighthearted and goofy but there were still several casualties in wano. As for garp were in the endgame now and I do agree with the people saying that blackbeard would benefit from some additional hype before he fights luffy. Also I think koby would benefit from the death of garp similar to luffy losing ace.

If you say so, some pretty unimpressive people have actually caught and almost killed luffy over the years.
