It makes no sense to be a darkness fruit, and a logia at it. But I guess villain must have an edgy, generic-evil power. The only darkness-related thing about this fruit is a property of a black hole, but it actually just gravity capturing light.
You are absolutely right. But Oda didn't thought well on that back then. Probably Fujitora will never have black hole since it would be an insane amount of gravity to do it. Even that characters are allowed to move at light speed.
