General & Others Be honest, do you like clone?

Personally I dont like it, its destroys the character originality
Just look stussy, in whole cake island she is the queen of pleasure district, she also one of underworld emperor and she also a CP 0 agent
But look at her now?
She just a clone of somebody, her accomplishment just mean nothing now. Miss buckingham who is great not her, she just being a big shadow of somebody great

And seraphim, do you like the idea of we can created human being ? Its kinda messed up, they doesnt have identity, vegapunk need going to impel down because of this. Its different than pacifista because pacifista is basically a robot, they doesnt have a personality, but seraphim have and its messed up

Instead using the original charater oda just using their clone charater its like a lazy shortcut kinda similiar like bringing people back to life..

What do you feel if after this they reveal that zoro is just a clone of somebody? Or sanji is just a clone of dying vinsmoke son? Or what if luffy just a clone of joyboy?? It will destroy their originality

And I bet in the future they will reveal that imu is just a clone of king who lived 800 years ago and its just a copy paste of star wars
Again one piece just a shonen manga and I get it but I used to get more from one piece

I have zero investment in Stussy, or Miss Bakkin. So why should I care if one is a clone of the other?

We've been dealing with the concept of clones since Bartholomew Kuma, and it was broadened upon with Germa.

Not sure how something that's been around for a long time, magically becomes an issue with the Stussy situation, when literally nobody gave a fuck when the Seraphims were introduced.

In my opinion it would be fucking stupid, and a wasted plot thread if the entire concept wasn't brought full circle into the story, after planting countless seeds throughout the years.

No issue here, as far as we know Stussy is the only clone. She seems to have her own will and she makes her own choices.
You could argue Seraphims are also clones to a certain extent, I think the goal here is for them to act on their own will as well and to emancipate from the orders of others.

But I really don't see the problem with Stussy, she wasn't anything special before, her being a clone is actually what suddenly sparked interest around her character. And it's not like we knew anything about Mrs Bakkins. They seem very different so far anyway.

The "clone" trope is so used in fiction that it doesn't bother me at all.
Young Justice seasons 1-2 had a lot of things with "clone" stuff. Was great.
The "clone" can lead to great character arcs about self-acceptance and self-discovery, identity, etc. Many philosophical debates can come from these stories.

Having said that, it can also be done pretty poorly, for pure "plot twist" value, with no substance.
All depends on the execution.
