General & Others Be Honest... Do you think the Luffy Vs Kaido Ending will be Satisfying?

I think Luffy enjoying and smiling through the fight has really damaged the tone of it and I’m not sure Oda can effectively shift it back for a suitable finale.

(Yes, I’m aware Oda is making Luffy laugh on purpose. I think that’s been a mistake though).

The recent anime episodes just reinforced all my problems with Luffy’s side of the fight since Oda started the “the more you smile...” subplot.

I think it’s been a good fight in a vacuum, but considering what Kaido should mean I expect to be vaguely dissatisfied with it nonetheless. A feeling like “this was good and I enjoyed it, but it could and should have been better.”

But we’ll see. The fight isn’t done yet. Maybe Oda will turn it around for the finale. Problem is that I’m pretty much ready for the fight to finish and I think that it would take time to properly readjust the tone, so it’s a bit of a lose lose.

The climax of the fight will surely be bombastic and devastating and signifying ultimate power, yeah so it will be satisfying. Cant say the same about the entirety of the fight tho, it's way too dragging since Oda wants to show tension by making Luffy lose again and again even tho theres practically no damage to his body except in 1043 where his heart stopped. Wow so tension and so desperate situation

I've been an advocate for this !!!! You cant have Katakuri give up the fight in WCI and then have Luffy win against Kaido no matter how many times you have him lose...... Luffy should take an L and the Strawhats should be forced to escape

Cause the rest don’t make sense and would be shit

Most of the strawhats have no way of fighting Kaido without bullshit, Blackbeard coming to kill Kaido when he went out of his way to state “if they won’t take it then we will” or something along those lines makes no sense, Oda using Kaido as a hype tool for the SSG would be terrible, the marines are busy enough dealing with the warlords they have no room in Wano + it would prolong the arc even further

ZKK makes more sense than all of these

Ofc I would prefer if Luffy soloed Kaido (while nerfed) and called it a day but I don’t despise ZKK I just don’t think it will happen

I will prefer it if Luffy's last attack on Kaidou is shown in the same chapter in which he uses it to actually defeat Kaidou.

The fact that Luffy's giant hand has already been shown in the last chapter will make it unsatisfying if it turns out to really be his last attack.

On the other hand, I really do want the fight to end as fast as possible.

Luffy is gonna use a genjutsu to create a new world so he can defeat Kaido.
