I'll be frank with you, and this is probably a hot take, but I didn't enjoy Monster that much and ended dropping it.
The story was great, but my problem with manga like Monster is that they're trend setters - and that means the trends and plot twists they introduced later got run into the ground. So reading Monster it's easy to predict where the story is going and what will happen.
Also, I'm not a fan of the art style at all. That's really a deal breaker for me because if I don't vibe with the art I end up forcing my way through the story thus not enjoying it at all.
