it's a real RnB song that got used for Jojo.
Jojo has been using famous songs by famous artists for its endings, starting with Roundabout by Yes for Parts 1 and 2, Walk Like An Egyptian by the Bangles and Last Train Home by Pat Metheny for Part 3, I Want You by Savage Garden for Part 4, Freek N You by Jodeci (One of them is called Jojo too or something) and Modern Crusaders by Enigma for Part 5 and finally the hauntingly beautiful and emotional Distant Dreamer by the fantastic, amazing Duffy for Part 6 so far.
Modern Crusaders and Distant Dreamer are so extremely fitting for Jojo lyrically to the point, its hard to believe they weren't written specifically for it!
Funnily enough, there is a scene that is "accidentally horny/yaoi" where Giorno heals Mista and it "looks raunchy" from Narancias perspective and this song was chosen for that scene too! A certain episode ends with this song playing as Narancia witnesses the scene and its HILARIOUSLY perfect, I can't believe they actually did that to this very day! It was the last episode for that ending too I think! Ending with a "bang" as you could say hahahaha!
I saw the episode immediately as it was released for "simulsub" on Crunchyroll or whatever and laughed so hard that they actually did that in the episode!:
Also, it does fit pretty well early on with how flamboyant and "metrosexual" Jojo is especially Part 5 too with its vibrant Italian setting! There is a gang called "Passione" or "Passion" ofc and there is a bit of horniness here and there at least because its Jojo and anime ofc too!
Finally, Jojo and Fruits Basket had a major subtitles mixup on Crunchyroll when both of them had episodes releasing around the same time and they had subtitles for their new episodes swapped with each other! It leds to hilariously and weirdly fitting results too!:
