I've seen alot times in manga and manwha, where there is a mc or being outliving their loved ones repeatively. Sure Frieren is a lot more solid and throughout in this, but it's nothing too new.

Good manga with peaks in parts, amazing show, but not a groundbreaking character herself.

She's a very consistent character, but a immortal being, or a race that lives excpectionly long coming to appreciate the passage of time is basic development for said characters
