And for me, the plot summaries of the two made me believe that FMA is far more interesting and unique than Death Note (though it can still be worse). Could be wrong but that's all I have to go off of anyway until I actually watch the shows

Just read the summary, It doesn't do death note justice at all lol.
Read 2-3 chapters and comeback (anime is dope so you can watch that too if you prefer)
You'll be hooked
It's basically a detective story where the best detective on the planet hired by the FBI is trying to catch the mc who uses a magical notebook to kill people. The mind games are brilliant and tense in this show.
FMA is goated too so i don't mind it advancing, but death note is always the first show i recommend to anyone that wants to watch an anime.

LMAO. I mean I eliminated Death Note, which is my absolute favourite manga and top 1 imo, instead of allowing it to go through as well. Wouldn't it make more sense that if I were trying to rig something to rig it for something that's my absolute favourite, instead of Berserk, which isn't in my top 10 fave manga even. This is why I need to bar One Piece and its characters from future tourneys ngl.
