IMPORTANT: I WILL NOT COUNT VOTES FROM THOSE WHO DO NOT VOTE FOR EACH FIGHT. ALSO IF I SEE OR NOTICE SOME SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY THAT ENTRY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

In this round in this thread we will have 8 mentors , which means 4 fights.

FIRST FIGHT

Kisuke Urahara

Kisuke Urahara is the former captain of the 12th Division, as well as the founder and 1st President of the S.R.D.I.. His lieutenant was Hiyori Sarugaki. He lives in the Human World where he owns a small convenience store which sells Shinigami items. He is assisted by his employees Tessai Tsukabishi, Jinta Hanakari, and Ururu Tsumugiya.

Though usually a laid-back, optimistic, jovial, humble and eccentric man, Urahara shows a deceptively cunning and serious side when the situation warrants it. He commonly uses idle conversation and outward concern to distract his opponents. Despite his care-free attitude, he always speaks politely, but is sometimes sarcastic. Yoruichi Shihōin notes he tends to go over the top with whatever he becomes passionate about. He has described himself as a "mere honest, handsome, perverted businessman."

Approximately 110 years ago, Urahara's personality was slightly opposite of what it is in the present. During his earlier years as a captain, he was viewed as a nervous, flustered, and quiet person. Somewhat unsure of himself, he lacked confidence in his ability to be a good leader. In addition, he was occasionally confused with how to deal with his division. Despite being uncomfortable in his role, he seemed relatively at ease in his previous position at the 2nd Division Detention Unit. However, he eventually hardened his resolve to take on his role as captain by becoming more serious and determined.

Urahara can usually be found near the scene of an important event, but he rarely intervenes in situations, preferring to stay on the sidelines. He often knows more information than he lets on, and despite being a major player in the situation, he acts only as a catalyst, having others do the work for him. Urahara is often manipulative, tricking people into doing what he wants them to.

He likes building large secret underground training spaces.

Kisuke is a pragmatic combatant, believing that using any means necessary in a life-and-death battle is essential in victory and survival, such as forming an alliance with Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez beforehand to defeat Askin Nakk Le Vaar via a sneak attack from behind.

In terms of sheer effectiveness, he might be one of the greatest of all time. He helped Ichigo to reach levels as a Shinigami that would have taken decades or centuries in a matter of days.
MY FAVE SCENES

VS

Darth Plagueis
Backstory

The Jedi and the Sith have been fighting for thousands of years. To make a long story short, the Jedi were great at teamwork and cooperation while the Sith were a bunch of greedy and egotistical cunts which led to a lot of in-fighting among fellow Sith Lords. This led to the Sith to becoming weak and vulnerable. The Jedi ended up capitalizing on all the Sith in-fighting and ended up neg diffing the Sith. However there was one Sith Lord who survived the war, his name was Darth Bane. Bane was in shambles and nearly on suicide-watch after the huge L that the Jedi gave him and his Sith. Bane desperately wanted revenge on the Jedi, but how? He was the only Sith left, and this war proved that large amount of Siths are incapable of working together. Bane decided to go back to the drawing board and re-create the Sith from scratch, from now on there would only be two Sith. A master to embody power, and an apprentice to crave it.

Why only two Sith? Well Bane theorized that if there were only two Sith, then this would remove the chance of in-fighting. Bane also theorized that if a Sith Lord choose a talented apprentice and said apprentice ended up killing the master and becoming the new Sith Lord, and if this process was constantly repeated over and over again, then eventually the Sith would continue to evolve and become stronger over time. Similar to how Covid-19 keeps mutating into more deadlier variants. You see, while Bane was desperate to get revenge on the Jedi and kill them all and establish a Sith Empire, Bane knew that he was no match for the Jedi. Bane wasn't even expecting his own future apprentice to destroy the Jedi, he knew that this would be a long process of Sith Lords finding talented apprentices and getting killed by them until eventually one day there would be a Sith Lord so powerful, so cunning, and so diabolical that the Jedi would be powerless to stop them...

So Bane went and found a talented human girl and named her Darth Zannah. The Jedi started hunting for Bane and Zannah to exterminate the Sith once and for all, but to make a long story short, Zannah came up with a galaxy brained plan in order to trick the Jedi into thinking that the Sith had become extinxt, now Bane was free to train Zannah without any fear or worry. While Bane was training Zannah, Bane was always on the lookout for an even more talented apprentice. If Bane found someone more talented, then he would kill Zannah and train his new apprentice. Zannah was always on the lookout for any weakness in her master, if Zannah ever sensed weakness or ever felt that she has surpassed her master, then she would kill Bane without hesitation. That was the kind of relationship between a Sith Master and his apprentice. There was no love, kindness, or trust. The master was always on the lookout for a better apprentice and the apprentice was always on the lookout for a way to kill their master before they themselves got killed and replaced. This may sound weird to say, but a good Sith mentor is one who got their ass completely kicked by their apprentice, that means they choose an excellent apprentice and trained them well. Anyways long story short, Zannah kicked her master's ass and killed him, now Zannah was the master. Zannah got an apprentice and named her Darth Cognus. Cognus then kicked Zannah's ass and this song and dance repeated for the next thousand years...

Darth Plagueis

A thousand years into the future and the current Sith Lord is Darth Plaguesis. Plagueis decided to do what every Sith Lord has done for the last millennium and find himself an apprentice. Plagueis eventually met a man named Palpatine and thought that he would make for a good apprentice. But in order to be 100% sure that Palpatine would be the perfect apprentice, Plagueis ordered him to prove himself, so Palpatine murdered his entire family to prove that he was fully committed to the cause. Plagueis was impressed and declared that Palpatine will now be known as Darth Sidious. Plagueis begun teaching Sidious everything that he knew. Plaguesis taught Sidious all forms of lightsaber combat, he taught him the ways of the force, he taught him the power of the dark side and countless Sith lore. Sidious didn't just use the dark side like so many Sith have before, he was the literal personification of the dark side. There have been no sith in the last thousand years that have been as powerful, talented, and cunning as Sidious.
Here is a video of Sidious crushing two rival Sith Lords with ease.

Eventually the master/relationship started to skew and become a relationship between equals and if you've been paying close attention, you know it's never a good sign when two Sith begin to have an equal partnership. Both Plagueis and Sidious had grown bored of the lame strategy of hiding from the Jedi that Bane started a thousand years ago and wanted to enact their revenge on the Jedi. So both Sith lords decided to pull a Suzaku Kururugi and join the very Galactic Republic that they both despise. Both Sidious and Plagueis rose high in the ranks, and after some hilarious manipulation that would take too long to explain, Sidious was now the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. Uh oh...the Sith apprentice is the Supreme Chancellor? Then what is the Sith master doing? Well he's too busy being killed by his apprentice. <_< Yup, Darth Plagueis is dead. The end.

Now you may think this is an anticlimactic ending for the character that I submitted, and that I spent very little time discussing my character and you would be right, but hear me out. Luffy and Zoro have been showing some amazing feats this year, correct? The reason for that is because they both have amazing mentors aka Rayleigh/Mihawk. I firmly believe the objective way to determine who is the best mentor is by figuring out which mentor has the most successful apprentice. If the apprentice is the GOAT, then the mentor is obviously indirectly the GOAT as well. So the rest of my post will now focus on all the accomplishments of Darth Plagueis' apprententice.

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious

So now Sidious is the most powerful man in the Republic, he is now the master of the Sith, and his allies in the Trade Federation are massing a giant droid army to fight the Jedi and the Republic with. A lot of people are a fan of Light and L's back and forth chess match in Death Note, but I'd say Sidious' back and forth chess match with himself as he controls both sides of the upcoming Clone War is just as good if not better. But Sidious needs an apprentice, he needs someone to lead the Separatists in the Trade Federation while he leads the Republic. Unfortunately being the Supreme Chancellor is pretty time consuming and he doesn't have time to train his own apprentice anymore. So Sidious gets in contact with a disgruntled Jedi Master named Dooku and seduces him to the dark side my promising Dooku that he will teach him all of his secrets and that they will one day rule the galaxy together. In reality, this is all a lie, Sidious teaches Dooku very little and uses Dooku as a pawn and discards him when it's most convenient for him. It's why I didn't both submitting Sidious for this tournament, he's a shit mentor.
Here is a funny scene of Sidious choking Dooku despite being on the other side of the galaxy.

There is a big confrontation between the Jedi and Dooku and his large droid army, and the Jedi experience countless losses. This makes it clear to the Republic that they need their own army, so Sidious orders the creation of a clone army. Each clone will secretly have a chip implanted into them with around 100 orders. Order 66 was an order for the clones to kill all the Jedi and could only be activated by the Supreme Chancellor. So the war was more fair now and it waged on for years, with Jedi dying bit by bit throughout the war. But eventually the war started to started to turn in favor of the Republic, and Dooku and General Grievous were now both dead. Sidious then looked at his watch and realized the time was jedi genocide o-clock, now countless Jedi across the galaxy were being killed by the clones. You see, the Jedi are impossible to defeat as a large group, but they are far easier to kill when they are spread out through the galaxy and taken off guard.
ORDER 66

Now 99% of the Jedi are dead. Sidious now declares that from now on, there will no longer be a Galactic Republic, but instead there will now be a Galactic Empire which he will rule as Emperor.

And then finally, he begins plans to create a weapon capable of destroying entire planets, known as the Death Star.

In conclusion, through sheer power, manipulation, cunning, and genius, Darth Sidious proves that he is the greatest Sith Lord in the last 1000 years, destroys the Jedi, destroys the Republic, and creates a Sith Empire and now reigns over the galaxy as Emperor. Anyone who dares defy the Emperor will have their entire planet blown up. And this is all thanks to Darth Plagueis being a 10/10 mentor.

Goodluck naming a mentor that has an apprentice that even does 50% of the things that Sidious has accomplished. I think it's clear that Darth Plagueis is objectively the greatest mentor of all time.

SECOND FIGHT

Onizuka Eikichi
Onizuka Eikichi is the protagonist from GTO(Great Teacher Onizuka).

He's an unemployed and ex-delinquent who decides to become a teacher due to his dream of marrying a schoolgirl when he reaches 40 years old. However, upon being admitted to Holy Forest College, Onizuka ends up in charge of grade 3-4, known as the worst of them all due to it hatred of teachers.

At first he thinks about giving up suddenly, but seeing the personal difficulties that each of the students was carrying, he decides to do his best to help them. Throughout the series he deals with the most diverse themes such as: bullyng, absentee parents, suicide, people born from artificial fertilization (at the time the manga was written this procedure was not so common and some people saw it as something abnormal), obsession disorders and even psychopathic teachers.

Obviously, his methods are far from conventional as he has no training. He's silly, funny, has no control over his own life and doesn't care about the consequences as long as he achieves his goals. Besides being absurdly strong and master of Karate. With that, he's always getting into hilarious and exaggerated situations.

Despite being a predominantly comic character, Onizuka teaches us valuable lessons for life.

vs

Jiraiya

"Let me explain something to you, there is only one thing that matters if you are a shinobi, and it isn't the number of jutsu you possess. All you do need, is the guts to never give up."
-Jiraiya

Jiraiya is a ninja from the leaf village and he is popularly known as the Pervy Sage. He has mentored Minato Namikaze (The Forth Hokage of Leave village), the Rain village orphans, and the protagonist of the story, Naruto Uzumaki who is also the Godson and the final student. He becomes known as the "Toad Sage" due to being trained by the Great Toad Sage in the arts of Senjutsu enabling him to summon toads during battles and use their powers. The Great Toad Sage also informed Jiraiya of a prophecy that he will look after a child who will either save the world or destroy it. Jiraiya and his two teammates, Orochimaru and Tsunade were known as the "Three Legendary Sannins" and they were famous for their fight against Hanzo, who was the then-ruler of the Rain village.

Soon after, Jiraiya meets a trio of Rain village orphans who are Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan and thereafter he trained the three in ninjutsu to protect themselves. At that time, Jiraiya considered Nagato to be the child from the Great Toad Sage's prophecy.
Though known for his fierce loyalty towards the leaf village, Jiraiya left the village time to time to visist other places and to also bring information for the Hokage. Sometime in his life, Jiraiya also became the mentor of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, who died in the process on sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox into his newborn child Naruto Uzumaki along with his wife, Kushina.
Jiraiya took the time to train Naruto, when he visited the village in the part 1 of the story and he also taught him his own jutsus and tried to help him to control his tailed beast. After Naruto's attempt to save his classmate Sasuke Uchiha, Jiraiya decides to train the boy for two and a half years to make him strong enough and to protect himself and his tailed beast from the notorious Akatsuki organization.

Jiraiya was the closest relationship that Naruto ever had in his life. He was also the one who gave Naruto his name. Being forced to keep a watch on the movements of Orochimaru, Jiraiya was frequently absent from the village which is why he couldn't take care of Naruto in his early years. They met when Naruto was going through the Chunin exams.

Some time later, Jiraiya went off to investigate Akatsuki's leader, Pain in the rain village. His investigation lead him to battle Pain, whom turned out to be Nagato. But he was found to be using the corpses of Yahiko and five other random ninja. At last, Jiraiya realised that it was none other than Naruto who was the child of prophesy. This made him remember one of his books wherein the main character was named Naruto and then Jiraiya gathered the strength to send a message to the leaf village about the secret to bring down Pain. While Pain kills Jiraiya, he concludes that Naruto will be the true saviour of the Ninja world.

Ever since they met, Jiraiya and Naruto became close. After learning of Jiraiya's death at the hands of Pain, Naruto fell into a depression. Jiraiya's death was the first time Naruto ever felt the pain of losing a loved one. Meeting Nagato face to face, Naruto decided to seek vengeance and he wanted to avenge his master. However in order to stop the cycle of hatred, Naruto declared that he'd bring peace to the world using Jiraiya's teachings. Naruto spared Nagato and then he made a memorial in honour of Jiraiya and vowed to find a path to peace.

THIRD FIGHT

Yami Sukehiro
Yami is the Captain of Black Bulls. He originally originates from Hino Country but due to being shipwrecked on the shores of Clover Kingdom he remains there and becomes a Magic Knight.

Yami is incredibly hot headed and raw person. Using profanity, being reckless and hypocritical is daily occurrence to him.

His stoic persona often makes him seem emotionless but in reality Yami is emotional person, he just shows in it his own way.

He formed Black Bulls to give renegades and misfits a place of their own. Doesn't matter if they are rich or poor, noble or peasant, ugly or beautiful etc... they can all find their place at Black Bulls. Yami out of everything respects actions of people the most. He is the person that wants results and not words.

His approach to his comrades is tough love. He often assigns them difficult missions in order for them to grow. He makes sure they grow stronger so that they can face the world better. Like his comrades Yami also grows with them, their efforts make Yami evolve too.

Yami is an experienced and perceptive warrior, picking apart his opponent's strategies with a glance and is constantly trying to come up with counters for them.

He commands Dark Magic which he uses in conjunction with his katana. Most mages prefer ranged abilities whereas Yami doesn't shy away from physical power too. If needs be he will engage his enemies face to face. He can even cut through dimensions

Because of his fighting style he is often viewed as a mentor to Asta. He teaches Asta how to be better and is always challenging him to be better.

Yami is a great character and an amazing mentor. In the world of discrimination Yami stands as the pillar of acceptance and equality. His rough and hot headed behavior is perfectly complimented by his warm heart. He deeply cares about his crew and will often make sure they are safe even at the cost of his own life.

First scenes just how powerful Yami is.

Reigen Arataka
Reigen is probably one of the most wholesome and awesome mentors I have seen in an anime. his relation with mob is almost like a father and child. even though he might be somewhat of a sleezebag and a scammer he is a good man that will lead mob into the right direction in live and keeps him in check. he is the best person to tutor hima dn that is why their relationship is so good. He also is very funny, but I don't think that my words can properly describe him, so I give you these videos to watch.

FOURTH FIGHT

Koro Sensei
Koro Sensei or how he was once known as, the reaper, is the teacher to class 1-E.

What is the proof of a mentors skill but via looking at their students, and Korosenseis students speak for themselves. Almost Single tentacled he turned a class of self deprecating and misbehaved students into the best class in their school and he did it while playing with the caveat that his death rewards them money.

Through the series we see his mentoring the students from all walks of life, including fellow assassins while they are continuously trying to kill him. And through it all he believes in them and raises them to be the best versions of themselves.

VS

Dumbledore
Dumbledore is one of the Best mentor figure of the last decades.

To begin with Dumby : is he the best mentor around ? I don't think so, the guy was full of holes, but he was definitely one of the best mentor character.

Dumby is one of the main characters in Harry potter, and during the books one of the main help for the protagonist Harry.

Dumbledore is a mentor for Harry but it can be said that he is a mentor for everyone from the light side. The guy is the elderly / father figure for everyone.

But Dumby is more complex than that, he is not only sweet he is also steel. The guy always change between the mentor and the master. Dumby is not the headmaster of a school he is a general that fought two wars. His words are not only to console and guide but also command.

But Dumby is not bad, he is a good guy and conscious of his own faults :

"As I have already proven to you, I make mistakes like the next man. In fact, being β€” forgive me β€” rather cleverer than most men, my mistakes tend to be correspondingly huger."

"Regret is my constant companion. Do not let it become yours."β€” Albus Dumbledore on the nature of regret

To understand Dumbledore you have to understand his youth :

during his youth he made some questionable choices and sought a dark path and power. He made friends with Grindelwald and dreamt of wizard domination, muggles oppression and personal power.

But everything changed when after a heated argument a three way duel occured between his brother Aberforth, Grindelwald and himself and Dumby little sister died. No onw really knew who sent the mortal curse and Dumby always wondered if it was his own curse which ended her life.

That moment was a big turnaround for Dumby. Grindelwald fled and Dumby turned his back from the dark path and came back to the light. He also took some distance from power, he refused like 3 times to be Minister of Magic.

But he still occupied lost of prestigious and high ranking jobs/fonctions : member of the Wizenmagot, Wizard parliament), an international negociator, the headmaster of Hogwart and the great leader of the Order of the Phoenix.

Now lets talk about the mentor figure that is Dumby.

Dumby was a mentor for a lot of wizards and witch. He is one of the three most powerful wizard of the books and also one of the smartest. This give him great power over everyone. Dumby was also caring and wise. People looked for him to handle things and could always asked him for advices or to lay a hand. And very often he had the right words, the right actions and made himself indispensable.

Dumby main mentorships are with Harry and Snape.

Both those relationships showed the good and the bad in Dumbeldore : the caring and the calculating.

Dumbledore really cared about Harry, he never wished harm to him, and was really sorry for the situation harry was in chosen one etc). And Dumby really tried to help him and save Harry. But for his war Harry was a central piece and he needed to be put in special situations even if those ones werent great for Harry and his hapiness.

Dumby gave Harry to the Dursley knowing they were bad. Dumby made choices that he believed to be for the benefit of humanity even if it deeply hurt some of the people around him. For example, he placed Harry Potter with the Dursley family despite knowing that they would be unlikely to treat him well, as pointed out by Professor McGonagall, all for the sake of keeping him alive.

"I knew my brother, Potter. He learned secrecy at our mother's knee. Secrets and lies, that's how we grew up, and Albus... he was a natural... How can you be sure, Potter, that my brother wasn't more interested in the greater good than in you? How can you be sure you aren't dispensable, just like my little sister?"β€” Aberforth Dumbledore

Same in the end with Harry "death". Dumby knew that Harry needed to die and he wasn't sure that Harry would live again after that, yet he took that bet.

Dumbledore trained Harry, but not martial or power training like it could have been expected but try to condition Harry to accept his role.

With Snape it was the same, Dumby really cared for Snape and wanting him to open and be happy, yet he needed a spy, needed someone to kill him if needed, and used him to protect Harry. He used his love for Lily to bide Snape into doing this.

Dumby wasn't perfect at all. He kept things hidden from Harry and from everyone, and that enraged those beside him. And even despite his old age and wisdom his old demons were still there : he couldn't stop himself from touching the Gaunt Ring / Death Ring, and it was his doom. His old dream with the hallows took the best of him.

Dumby was also a monster wizard and its cool : (and in the books he had even more feats)

Is Dumbledore one of the best mentor ? i do'nt know, but he is def one of the most interetsting mentor figure.

Ichigo has had plenty of mentors throughout Bleach and Urahara is by far the worst one. Urahara did nothing to prevent Byakuya and Renji from kicking Ichigo's ass. Urahara mentored Ichigo for an extremely short period of time. He didn't warn Ichigo about Aizen. He didn't tell Ichigo that he used to be a former captain. He didn't tell Ichigo about the Hoygoku or warn him that Aizen was after the Hoygoku. He didn't warn Ichigo or Rukia about the modified gigai that he gave to Rukia to remove her reiatsu and hide his hoygoku inside her. And what was Urahara's first reaction to seeing his student after Soul Society? Getting on his knees and apologizing because he knows that he was a poor mentor to Ichigo. Yourichi, Shinji, and Isshin were all better mentors to Ichigo.

Meanwhile Plagueis spent so much time mentoring Sidious that Sidious was capable of conquering the entire galaxy and slaughtering the Jedi. Plagueis neg diffs Urahara in a mentoring contest, it's not even a competition. Perhaps one day Light will host a worst mentor contest and then we can see Urahara shine.

Jiraiya is a great mentor (aside from that one time he stole Naruto's wallet to go do sketchy things <_<) and no idea who Onizuka is so Jiraiya gets my vote.

No idea who Reigan and Yami are so random generator will decide.

Dumbledore vs Koro...no idea who Koro is but Dumbledore is a GOAT mentor and hopefully he makes it far in this tournament. What separates Dumbledore from other mentors is that Dumbledore has been mentoring and babysitting Harry Potter's ass since the day he was born. Dumbledore sent Harry to his aunt's house where the love charm would keep him safe and Dumbledore has constantly saved Harry's life and mentored him multiple times throughout the 7 books. Even after Dumbledore dies, the main villain is still raging at just how much Dumbledore has taught Harry.

"What if, the boy knew about the others? Could he know, had he already acted, had he traced more of them? Was Dumbledore at the root of this? Dumbledore, who had always suspected him; Dumbledore, dead on his orders; Dumbledore, whose wand was his now, yet who reached out from the ignominy of death through the boy, the boy - "

Dumbledore has been a corpse for nearly a year now and his mentoring is still in effect. :steef:

Cedric Diggory to start, literally every dark arts teacher one of which had the devil in the back of his head...
Dumbledore literally had nothing to do with Cedric's death. Dumbledore wasn't anywhere near Cedric when Wormtail killed him.

Dumbledore vets all his teachers, we saw that when he had an interview with the Divination prof. Where are you getting this idea that every dark arts teacher wasn't vetted? Lupin and Snape were good teachers, Lockhart was a famous wizard, Umbridge was sent by the Ministry himself and Dumbledore had no say in the matter. As for Quirrel having Voldemort attached to his head, how was Dumbledore supposed to know that? Do you ask people in real life to take off their hijabs and turbans? So why are you expecting any different from Dumbledore?

You're also ignoring that Voldemort put a curse 50 years that forbids anyone from teaching defense against the dark arts for more than one year. So it's not like Dumbledore has a large pool of candidates to choose from.

Jiraya didn't mentor shit lol. In the span of 2 years what did naruto learn? Emmm, how to make more shadow clones, and a bigger rasengan ball lmao. He eclipsed that shit 2 year training in just a mere 2 weeks when he was learning sage mode, something Jiraya could have helped him on.

Only thing Jirya "mentored" or gave something for Naruto to look up to was to "never give up" which was always Naruto's little slogan to begin with, nothing new.

Onizuka >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jiraya.

Wow, this is incredibly commendable for a teacher to do. Not many teachers in real life even do stuff like this and when that rare teacher is around to help the students with their life troubles, it helps so much with that student's progress in life. I haven't read this manga but I can only imagine the positive impact on the students' lives that Onizuka would have. He has my vote.

I know nothing about either two characters, but this absolute roasting of Urahara got me convinced to vote the other way.
