IMPORTANT: I WILL NOT COUNT VOTES FROM THOSE WHO DO NOT VOTE FOR EACH FIGHT. ALSO IF I SEE OR NOTICE SOME SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY THAT ENTRY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

In this round in this thread we will have 6 mentors , which means 3 fights.

FIRST FIGHT

Satoru Gojo
Satoru Gojo. The strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen.

He was born on December 7, 1989. His birth single-handily changed the balance of the powers in the world and started a new era in which Cursed Spirits became more aware of the danger that Sorcerers pose to them.

When he was a little kid he was seen by one of the strongest characters Toji Zenin who was known as the infamous assassin the "Sorcerer Killer". Years later was tasked with killing the Star Plasma Vessel that was meant to merge with Master Tengen and was escorted by Gojo himself.

They fought each other in a death battle with Toji having the upper hand at first but later due to Gojo finally unlocking his full potential he was able to defeat Toji and become the Strongest known Sorcerer alive.

Gojo is known for his at times goofy and free spirit personality but when he has to step up, he is deadly serious about his goals, motivations, and the way he is handling his importance to the Jujutsu society.

He openly admits to feeling displeased with the way Jujutsu higher-ups are managing their society. Because of this, he decided to become a teacher in Tokyo's Jujutsu High. He wants to create a dependable and accepting place for every sorcerer. He is actively trying to expose the fraudulence of the Jujutsu higher-ups with his actions and tasks his students with missions that allow them to grow in power and experience so one day they can overthrow them and begin a new era in Jujutsu society. He could just go and single handily kill each and every single one of them but he understands that it's not how it works and he would only make himself look like a power-hungry brute who wants to rule with an iron fist instead of what he aims for. He took a more politically correct approach although it is not as easy as it seems.

Satoru Gojo is not the cliche sensei that will take you on a 2 years trip or explain the basics for you from the beginning to the end. He takes a new approach with tasking his students with his own dangerous missions and makes them develop with the learning thru experience method. Of course, it is not the most viable way of developing your students who put their lives at the risk but in a way, he prepares them for the cruelty of this world. One day he will need to step down and he needs people whom he can pass the torch to and trust them with the safety of the world targeted by cursed spirits and evil sorcerers.

Gojo always knows what his students need. He knew Yuji needed emotional support so he invited Nanami to help him, he knew what was holding Megumi back so he helped him, he told Yuta how to release Rika and use a sword, it's always Gojo flashbacks that save his students.

Then I'd write about him being a bit of an unconventional teacher. Also, what I appreciate about him is that he sees his students not just as students or sorcerers, but as kids who should get to enjoy their youth when they can.

Take the baseball game for instance. The other teachers decide amongst themselves to not continue with the event at all (and for reasons that are kinda understandable, to be fair). But Gojo leaves it up to the students to decide whether the event should continue after all that goes down. When they do decide to continue, the other adults are okay with following routine and letting the students go at each other's throats again. But Gojo goes with a baseball game instead, which not only helps the students take a much-needed breather but also lets the Kyoto students get to know Yuuji as a fellow kid rather than as 'Sukuna's vessel'.

William Zeppeli
William Zeppeli

Synopsis:

WHO IS WILLIAM ZEPPELI?

An intricatly written and interesting character? NAY

Does he pepper his sandwhich? YAY

Does he have a really cool fucking hat? YAY

Will he punch a frog to make a point?!

ABSOLUTELY YES

William Zeppeli is a stereotypical, yet interesting take on the mentor character. He's not got anything to really set him apart from his peers in his same category, but being an early character from where most of the stereotypes comes from he's mostly forgiven.

My personal draw to this character is his unusual appearance, and his really cool hat. He's like a father figure who shows up just when you needed him to show up. He mysteriously appear in front of Jonathan Joestar after a certain event happened..

He is a master of Hamon, and was training in the art after his father and his crew became victims to the stone mask which Dio Brando just recently had used on himself to transcend humanity

After William trained Jonathan he was able to do the impossible..

on a more serious note, Zeppeli knows his stuff in and out and is able to teach Jonathan at incredible speeds to master Hamon, and giving hope to destroy the stone mask once and for all. He even sacrifices himself to make sure Jonathan lives on and will be able to care for himself. In a final act of his life, he passes on all his lifeforce and Hamon reserves to Jonathan, making him able to not defeat Dio.

But.. his legacy lives on in the shape of Ceasar Zeppeli, and not to mention the most important..

Speedwagon inherited his hat..

VOTE FOR THIS COOL HAT TO WIN.

SECOND FIGHT

Hatake Kakashi
Kakashi Hatake stands as one of the greatest mentors for the lessons that he teaches his students. He doesnโ€™t simply train them to become stronger, he trains them to become better people. He trains them to have morals and integrity.

His greatest lesson to Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura wasnโ€™t a new technique for them to learn but a lesson of ethics and teamwork. Itโ€™s one of the most iconic lessons in all of anime: the bell test. During this test, when Naruto was tied to a stake and denied lunch, but his fellow squad mates went against orders and fed him their lunch. However, instead of punishing them for this, they passed. Kakashi left some valuable words for them: โ€œIn the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum. But those who abandon their friends are worse than scum.โ€

Kakashi passed the three main characters because they stuck together as a squad. They didnโ€™t leave Naruto to suffer from hunger. And while they broke the rules, what was more important was their teamwork. Kakashi was able to instill to them a strong moral code about putting the team before themselves for which Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura could carry into the rest of their ninja lives. This is great mentorship. Being a mentor isnโ€™t necessarily just about making your students stronger, but also giving them an ideology to follow. A good ideology that will help embark them on an honorable journey.

VS

Might Guy
Might Gai is simply the best teacher for a few short, concise reasons. When a student has potential and all others look past him, Gai decides to take the student up on his own. Inspire him and train him extremely well in the skill area he excels in. Lee was a worthless student and because of Gai he turned into a power house.

But beyond the results of his training,. Gai embodies a certain attitude and demeanor that inspires others to be the best. Brought on by Might Dai โ€” his father โ€” Gai has a philosophy of always staying positive and retaining a youthful expression, be it in combat or in mundane life.

THIRD FIGHT

Jiraiya

"Let me explain something to you, there is only one thing that matters if you are a shinobi, and it isn't the number of jutsu you possess. All you do need, is the guts to never give up."
-Jiraiya

Jiraiya is a ninja from the leaf village and he is popularly known as the Pervy Sage. He has mentored Minato Namikaze (The Forth Hokage of Leave village), the Rain village orphans, and the protagonist of the story, Naruto Uzumaki who is also the Godson and the final student. He becomes known as the "Toad Sage" due to being trained by the Great Toad Sage in the arts of Senjutsu enabling him to summon toads during battles and use their powers. The Great Toad Sage also informed Jiraiya of a prophecy that he will look after a child who will either save the world or destroy it. Jiraiya and his two teammates, Orochimaru and Tsunade were known as the "Three Legendary Sannins" and they were famous for their fight against Hanzo, who was the then-ruler of the Rain village.

Soon after, Jiraiya meets a trio of Rain village orphans who are Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan and thereafter he trained the three in ninjutsu to protect themselves. At that time, Jiraiya considered Nagato to be the child from the Great Toad Sage's prophecy.
Though known for his fierce loyalty towards the leaf village, Jiraiya left the village time to time to visist other places and to also bring information for the Hokage. Sometime in his life, Jiraiya also became the mentor of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, who died in the process on sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox into his newborn child Naruto Uzumaki along with his wife, Kushina.
Jiraiya took the time to train Naruto, when he visited the village in the part 1 of the story and he also taught him his own jutsus and tried to help him to control his tailed beast. After Naruto's attempt to save his classmate Sasuke Uchiha, Jiraiya decides to train the boy for two and a half years to make him strong enough and to protect himself and his tailed beast from the notorious Akatsuki organization.

Jiraiya was the closest relationship that Naruto ever had in his life. He was also the one who gave Naruto his name. Being forced to keep a watch on the movements of Orochimaru, Jiraiya was frequently absent from the village which is why he couldn't take care of Naruto in his early years. They met when Naruto was going through the Chunin exams.

Some time later, Jiraiya went off to investigate Akatsuki's leader, Pain in the rain village. His investigation lead him to battle Pain, whom turned out to be Nagato. But he was found to be using the corpses of Yahiko and five other random ninja. At last, Jiraiya realised that it was none other than Naruto who was the child of prophesy. This made him remember one of his books wherein the main character was named Naruto and then Jiraiya gathered the strength to send a message to the leaf village about the secret to bring down Pain. While Pain kills Jiraiya, he concludes that Naruto will be the true saviour of the Ninja world.

Ever since they met, Jiraiya and Naruto became close. After learning of Jiraiya's death at the hands of Pain, Naruto fell into a depression. Jiraiya's death was the first time Naruto ever felt the pain of losing a loved one. Meeting Nagato face to face, Naruto decided to seek vengeance and he wanted to avenge his master. However in order to stop the cycle of hatred, Naruto declared that he'd bring peace to the world using Jiraiya's teachings. Naruto spared Nagato and then he made a memorial in honour of Jiraiya and vowed to find a path to peace.

VS

Yami Sukehiro
Yami is the Captain of Black Bulls. He originally originates from Hino Country but due to being shipwrecked on the shores of Clover Kingdom he remains there and becomes a Magic Knight.

Yami is incredibly hot headed and raw person. Using profanity, being reckless and hypocritical is daily occurrence to him.

His stoic persona often makes him seem emotionless but in reality Yami is emotional person, he just shows in it his own way.

He formed Black Bulls to give renegades and misfits a place of their own. Doesn't matter if they are rich or poor, noble or peasant, ugly or beautiful etc... they can all find their place at Black Bulls. Yami out of everything respects actions of people the most. He is the person that wants results and not words.

His approach to his comrades is tough love. He often assigns them difficult missions in order for them to grow. He makes sure they grow stronger so that they can face the world better. Like his comrades Yami also grows with them, their efforts make Yami evolve too.

Yami is an experienced and perceptive warrior, picking apart his opponent's strategies with a glance and is constantly trying to come up with counters for them.

He commands Dark Magic which he uses in conjunction with his katana. Most mages prefer ranged abilities whereas Yami doesn't shy away from physical power too. If needs be he will engage his enemies face to face. He can even cut through dimensions

Because of his fighting style he is often viewed as a mentor to Asta. He teaches Asta how to be better and is always challenging him to be better.

Yami is a great character and an amazing mentor. In the world of discrimination Yami stands as the pillar of acceptance and equality. His rough and hot headed behavior is perfectly complimented by his warm heart. He deeply cares about his crew and will often make sure they are safe even at the cost of his own life.
First scenes just how powerful Yami is.

EPIC HAT MADE IT TO THE SEMI FINALS?!
Yeah, I said this in the other thread.
Since I don't wanna do another 3 way fight before the finals, one of the mentors who lost in this round, the one with the highest number of votes shall also advance. That way in the semifinals we'll have 6 of them, and 3 in the finals. Since there are currently 3 of them with the same number of votes, the RNG chose Zeppeli. Therefore, if nothing changes, he shall be the one to advance further.

In case you guys don't know why Gojo should be a decent pick read the synopsis it is very well written.

Jiraya over Yami is pure nostalgia tbh. Don't mind people not everyone read every series.

But to give you a clue. Jiraya took Naruto for 3 years of training and Naruto learned nothing and only got chosen one speech from Jiraya.

Bonus complain:

Kakashi over Guy:lulz::lulz::lulz::lulz::lulz::lulz:

Only the frauds remain tbh, these guys aren't even worth being called mentors.

The fact that Onizuka lost in the first round means that this is nothing short of a popularity contest instead of an objective one.

Trash.
